The bourgeoisie will have to be put to sleep. So we shall begin by launching the most spectacular peace movement on record...The capitalist countries, stupid and decadent, will rejoice to cooperate in their own destruction. They will leap at another chance to be friends.

President Obama's diversity Czar at the Federal Communications Commission proposes adding a vast public broadcasting system to the growing list of Obama's parallel institutions. (Snip) In Prologue to a Farce: Communication and Democracy in America, Mark Lloyd proposes what would become a huge federal broadcasting system and yet another Obama parallel institution. He is quoted as saying, :"It should be clear by now that my focus here is not freedom of speech or the press. This freedom is all too often an exaggeration. At the very least, blind references to freedom of speech or the press serve as a distraction from the critical examination of other communications policies". [It would join the ''civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded'' as the U.S. military].

It was the most Obamaesque address to date. ''For those who question the character and cause of my nation,'' the president pronounced, ''I ask you to look at the concrete actions we have taken in just nine months.'' America is 233 years old. Some think that there are ample accomplishments speaking to our character and cause that predate Obama's ascension to the presidency.

From Fox News: The health insurance company targeted by the Obama administration and a top Senate Democrat properly followed guidance dating back to the Clinton administration and should not be punished, Republicans said. House and Senate Republicans have put up a wall of resistance against the decision by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to launch a probe into Humana (Snip) Senate Republicans on Thursday threatened to block Obama's health care-related appointments if the decision is

Documents released by a Senate Republican show that leaders of the ACORN community organizing network transferred several million dollars in charitable and government money meant for the poor to arms of the group that have political and sometimes profit-making missions. ACORN's tax-exempt groups and allied organizations, long a target of conservative ire, used more than half their charitable and public money in 2006 to pay other ACORN affiliates... From the NY Times: John Kerry last week sought to change the vernacular surrounding the climate bill and sell its concepts more broadly, insisting it is not a "cap and trade" proposal but a "pollution reduction" bill. "I don't know what 'cap and trade' means. I don't think the average American does," Kerry said. "This is not a cap-and-trade bill, it's a pollution reduction bill." [Now, we can all be in favor of that, right? Not......]

Mark Tapscot reports that Obama and his colleagues claimed in a class-action lawsuit in 1994 that Citibank had rejected loan applications by the plaintiffs simply because they were black, or because they lived in predominantly black neighborhoods. In short, the suit was one of thousands filed during the 1990s claiming racial bigotry, not poor credit histories, explained high rejection rates among minorities applying for mortgages.

Whatever you think on that issue, here's what struck me: After four years of haggling, Citibank settled with Buyck, a Chicago woman, out of court. She received $60,000. Obama and the other lawyers on the plaintiff side got $950,000.

There you have it. Our courtrooms have turned into a legal lottery system. And Democrats will never support any real reforms because the overwhelming majority of the attorneys that play the system contribute big sums of money to Democrats. [Don't count on tort reform with the health care bill].

The Washington Post reports that: the Obama administration is close to rolling out two initiatives aimed at addressing lingering problems from the financial crisis: A long-delayed effort to cleanse financial firms of their toxic assets, and a $35 billion plan to prop up state programs that help lower-income borrowers get affordable mortgages. [Say, Mr. President - isn't this what got this great country into trouble in the first place - giving mortgages to those who could never pay them?]

[The next time someone tries to tell you that you are racist for expressing disagreement with our first black President, try to keep the following in mind].....

This piece by Lloyd Marcus, a black conservative, is called "Stop Allowing The Left To Set The Rules", and deals with the alleged racism of the anti-Obama opposition. A Mr Marcus notes:

The Left published a cartoon depicting former black Secretary of State Condolezza Rice as an Aunt Jemima; another depicted Rice as a huge-lipped parrot for her Massa Bush. Neither were considered racist by their creators or publishers, or even widely condemned on the Left.

In opposition to black Republican Michael Steele's campaign torun for U.S. Senate, a liberal blogger published a doctored photo of Steele in black face and big red lips made to look like a minstrel. The caption read, "Simple Sambo wants to move to the big house". Not one Democrat denounced these racist portrayals of black conservatives.

True. Nobody minds liberal commentators expressing the hope that Clarence Thomas "will die early from heart disease like many black men", etc.

Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D.-R.I.) says people will be able to stop doctors from including records of sexually transmitted diseases and abortions in the new national system of Electronic Health Records that was mandated by the stimulus law enacted in February. The law says that doctors, hospitals and other health care providers must create an Electronic Health Record (EHR) for every American by 2014 or else face deductions. [Isn't that comforting? And I'm sure no one in the government will illicitly access what is in your records, either].

The latest Breitbart news shows ACORN members praying to Obama, with a religious-like chant following each plea to Obama. More later.....
