Hamas Cleric - The Jews Were Brought to Palestine for the 'Great Massacre'

Words of Hamas MP and Cleric Yunis Al-Astal, 5-11-2011:  "Jews were brought to Palestine so that the Palestinians and the Islamic nation behind them will have the honor of annihilating the evil of this gang.  Their arrival in Palestine was for the purpose of their great massacre.  The land of Palestine will become the capital of the Islamic Caliphate." [And yet it seems America doesn't stand behind Israel - watching while another Holocaust is being openly planned....]

Big Government writes: The University of Colorado Sea Level Research Group is coming to their rescue. The NASA-funded group claims glacial melt is removing weight that had been pressing down on land masses, which in turn is causing land mass to rise. This welcome news mitigates sea-level rise from melting glacial ice, meaning sea level will rise less than previously thought. However, it is very inconvenient for alarmist sea level predictions. Therefore, instead of reporting the amount by which sea level is rising in the real world, the Sea Level Research Group has begun adding 0.3 millimeters per year of fictitious sea level rise to “compensate” for rising land mass.
The extra 0.3 millimeters of fictitious sea level rise will add up to 1.2 inches over the course of the 21st century. While this is not monumental in and of itself, it will allow alarmists to paint a dramatically different picture of sea level rise than is occurring in the real world. For example, the current pace of 8 inches of sea level rise for the present century is essentially no different than the 7 inches of sea level rise that occurred last century. However, with an artificially enhanced 9.2 inches of sea level rise, alarmists can claim sea level is rising 31 percent faster than it did last century.
This isn’t the first time NASA climate-change scientists have fudged data. James Hansen [Al Gore's Global Warming  expert] is famous for it. http://biggovernment.com/jdunetz/2011/05/13/nasa-gets-caught-faking-climate-change-data-again/

National Review writes: In USA Today, former DNC interim chair Donna Brazile claims that Republicans are trying to block voters from the polls and reduce the voting rights of  ”Democratic-leaning Americans.” She asserts that Republicans are passing state ballot integrity laws — such as voter photo-ID requirements – to limit the participation of minority voters, the young, and the poor (purported Obama voters) heading into the 2012 elections. Brazile asks, ”Do we really want to see Florida’s 2000 election controversy replayed?”
Expect to see lots more of this leading to the presidential election.  But the Justice Department found no credible evidence that Floridians were intentionally denied the right to vote.
Voter fraud isn’t the imaginary phenomenon some claim it to be. Brazile bemoans the the expense of voter ID requirements ($10 million over four years in Indiana, according to her). Given the closeness of so many recent elections that could’ve been decided by fraudulent ballots, is $10 million per state too much to spend on improving election integrity?  http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/267542/gop-plan-disfranchise-democratic-voters-2012-peter-kirsanow

Snopes reports: Have you ever heard of a "Works Bomb"?  Neither had I.  According to Snopes, it is a mixture of Draino and tin foil, placed insides a water bottle.  It is thrown into neighborhood yards.  When picked up or jiggled, the chemical reaction of the two ingredients explodes with a boiling liquid.  Beware!  Warn your children and neighbors.  Proof  at  http://www.snopes.com/crime/warnings/bottlebomb.asp

Tom Cohen of CNN reports: In the wake of the Arab Spring protests across the Middle East and North Africa, President Barack Obama will pledge U.S. economic assistance to Egypt and Tunisia on Thursday in a speech highlighting his administration's revised policies toward the changing region.

Obama will announce several programs intended to increase U.S. and international investment, create jobs and spur economic growth in the two countries, the officials said. The goal is for Tunisia and Egypt to serve as models for a region undergoing change so that other countries have incentive to undertake similar reforms, according to the officials.Specific programs include relieving Egypt of up to $1 billion in debt over the next two to three years so the money can be invested by the Egyptian government in economic development plans, and providing $1 billion in loan guarantees to finance infrastructure development and job creation, the senior administration officials said. http://www.kfoxtv.com/politics/27946104/detail.html

American Thinker describes CFLs: [Here is pertinent information for those of you who are NOT hoarding incandescent light bulbs]: New evidence of CFLs causing fires -- even exploding -- as well as new environmental concerns have come to light since my article The CFL Fraud published.  Here are some of the additional fires:
"I had one of these CFL's in my garage socket, and it blew a component (not the glass corkscrew) and caught fire.  Fortunately, I was standing four feet away at the time.  I turned off the power and smothered the bulb with a towel." LINK
"I heard a sizzling sound like bacon, looked in the direction of the sound and watch the CFL burst into flame with flames licking up onto the ceiling of my house." LINK
"I've had two CFLs explode on me.  One in our bedroom overhead light.... I took a long time cleaning the bedspread and carpeting, because of fears of the mercury residue.  Had another one explode in the family room." LINK
How was that bedspread cleaned?  Was the person aware it must not be put in a washing machine, according to EPA, "because mercury may contaminate the machine and/or pollute sewage"?  Was that person aware EPA also says never to use a vacuum cleaner to clean up a broken CFL on a carpet?  Vacuuming will disperse mercury into the air and contaminate the vacuum cleaner, which for all practical purposes is impossible to decontaminate. LINK
Of course, as I pointed out previously, state and federal environmental laws have effectively eliminated the mail-back programs of CFL manufacturers.  Researchers found the only legally acceptable shipping container is "a double box with a zip closure foil-plastic laminate bag between the cardboard layers" if CFLs are to be shipped by U.S. Postal Service or common carrier.  To ignore this requirement would subject violators to the penalties of the law, which would surely exceed the value of a replacement bulb.  The cost of the acceptable container and the postage/shipping charge must also be paid by the consumer returning the product.  The result is that probably nobody is ever going to return a broken CFL to Armorlite.
"CFL bulbs contain many nasty toxic substances.  You likely know of the mercury they contain already, but they also have things like lead (stabilizer in the plastic ballast housings), arsenic in the electronic parts, phenol in circuit boards, cyanide to process metals for parts, toxic phosphors, and the list goes on and on!  They can't be tossed in the trash can, and have to be saved and recycled (expensive!) when they burn out.  Incandescents are not only easily recycled, but can be discarded in the trash -- the glass and metals used are inert."
"Do not use in luminaries controlled by a dimmer, electronic timers, 3-way socket or photocells, illuminated switches, totally enclosed luminaries, or where directly exposed to weather.  Do not use with emergency fixtures or emergency lights.  This CFL may interfere with other products like radios, cordless phones and others."

Youtube reveals: Here is a video of Senator Ryan, who asks a member of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee if she is pro-life.  It was mentioned that many are for pro-choice as far as abortions go, but not for choice in the purchase of light bulbs, toilets, refrigerators, washing machines, etc.  Government fines or threatens jail, puts American companies out of business, and prohibit the making of products which people want.  Ryan wants government to encourage Americans to save energy, not to demand.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePZGWvwvH_0&feature=share
