Union Members on All Unionized Company Boards?; Pelosi Constituents Get 20% of New Obamacare Waivers; Totalitarian America Under Obama; US Ship to be Named For CA Labor Leader Chavez; State of Nevada Gets Partial Obamacare Waiver; Another Radical School Agenda; GM Heartily Supports Making Movie About Chinese Communist Party;

The Washington Examiner reveals NLRB agenda: Why has private-sector unionization fallen from 35 percent of the work force during World War II to less than 7 percent today? The main reason is that unions raise a firm's labor costs, leaving fewer resources for things like job
creation, capital improvements, and research and development. Unions also make it much harder for owners
and executives to make practical business decisions.
Obama's NLRB doesn't give a hoot what the Supreme Court ruled. Not only is the NLRB standing firm in its
Boeing suit, but the leaked memo, which was obtained by the Heritage Foundation's Hans von Spakovsky
and James Sherk, also shows that the board seeks to elevate union officials to equal partners with executives in corporate boardrooms of all unionized firms. The memo instructs NLRB regional operatives to flag all cases
in which unionized firms made relocation decisions without submitting detailed economic justifications to their
unions.  The intended consequence is that all major business decisions will become subject to approval by
unions. Soviet Communist Party theoretician Leon Trotsky wrote this in 1931: "The workers need control not
for platonic purposes, but in order to exert practical influence upon the production and commercial operations
of the employers. ... In a developed form, workers' control thus implies a sort of economic dual power in the
factory." Were Trotsky still around, he would no doubt cheer Obama's NLRB.

Daily Caller reveals: Pelosi’s district secured almost 20 percent of the latest issuance of waivers nationwide, and the companies that won them didn’t have much in common with companies throughout the rest of the country that have received Obamacare waivers.
Other common waiver recipients were labor union chapters, large corporations, financial firms and local governments. But Pelosi’s district’s waivers are the first major examples of luxurious, gourmet restaurants and hotels getting a year-long pass from Obamacare.

The United States is rapidly becoming a totalitarian democracy.
As described by Israeli historian J. L. Talmon, totalitarian democracy is a political system in which lawfully elected representatives rule a nation state whose citizens, although granted the right to vote, have little or no participation in the decision-making process of government.
In a totalitarian democracy, the government is transformed from one based on traditional values and articles of faith into one in which social utility takes absolute precedence.
Obama is a disciple of Chicago-native, Saul Alinsky, a neo-Marxist and community organizer, who wrote: “Rules for Radicals”, a guide which provides Obama’s operational model.
“The first step in community organization is community disorganization. Present arrangements must be disorganized if they are to be displaced by new patterns…. All change means disorganization of the old and organization of the new.” p.116  http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/36515

A Times writes: U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Alpine) disagrees with the Navy's decision to name a cargo ship under construction in San Diego for California farm labor leader Cesar Chavez.
The decision, announced Tuesday, "appear[s] to be more about making a political statement than upholding the Navy's history and tradition," Hunter said in press release.
Hunter, who served as a Marine in Iraq and Afghanistan, said that if the Navy wanted to recognize "the Hispanic contribution to our nation, many other names come to mind."
Hunter mentioned Marine Sgt. Rafael Peralta, killed in combat in Iraq and nominated for the Medal of Honor.  http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2011/05/san-diego-area-congressman-blasts-navys-decision-to-name-ship-for-cesar-chavez.html

Las Vegas Sun writes: Nevada got a partial waiver from the health care law — a significant development that Democrats are dismissing as par for the course and Republicans are claiming as a political victory.
The Health and Human Services Department announced late Friday that Nevada had secured a statewide waiver from certain implementation requirements of the Obama administration’s health care law, because forcing them through, the department found, “may lead to the destabilization of the individual market.”  http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/may/16/nevada-secures-partial-waiver-federal-health-care-/

Big Government reveals: There are many conservative teachers sounding the alarm about the hijacking of their profession and the
radicalization of school curriculums by left-wing union leaders.  Exhibit A: Chicago Teachers Union President
Karen Lewis saying they’re not teachers but “education workers.”
Dean Kalahar is a Sarasota, Florida high school economics teacher. On his blog, he says his guiding principles
include private property rights, free market entrepreneurial capitalism and the U.S. Constitution.
Kalahar recently brought attention to the new Florida high school senior exit exam, which he says will
“indoctrinate children into a progressive and revisionist model critical of America.”
Among the questions Kalahar exposes are:
  • Analyze the major factors that drove United States imperialism.
  • Examine the controversy surrounding the proliferation of nuclear technology in the United States.
  • Assess key figures and organizations in shaping the Black Power Movement.
  • Analyze significant Supreme Court decisions relating to reproductive rights.
  • Describe efforts by the United States and other world powers to avoid future wars.
  • Examine the failure of the United States to support the League of Nations.
Kalahar says teachers will be legally bound to teach these perspectives.  http://biggovernment.com/kolson/2011/05/18/conservative-public-school-teacher-calls-florida-exam-soviet-style-propaganda-2/

In late 2010, General Motors agreed to sponsor a propaganda film celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The CCP made film titled (translated to English) “The Birth of a Party” or “The Great Achievement of Founding the Party" is set to premiere all over the Communist nation on June 15 reported China AutoWeb last September. The auto website adds:
"According to an announcement posted on Shanghai GM’s official web site yesterday, whose title reads "joining hands with China Film Group, Cadillac whole-heartedly supports the making of the Birth of a Party..."
