Democrat Party chairman in Indiana resigns over voter fraud; Congress actually voted over potatoes in public school lunch lines; Tax cuts are code words for racist; What is a Republic?; The story on free stuff; Defining poverty up; 2012 elections to be most racist in the history of the Republic; To the victor go the spoils; A call to eradicate Christians and Muslims; New Black Panther leader calls for college students to join in the hour of war

Foxnews: The chairman of the St. Joseph County Democratic Party has resigned amid a scandal that reveals hundreds of signatures on petitions for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton to appear on the state's 2008 primary ballot were faked.
Butch Morgan announced his resignation in a statement Monday, saying, "After consulting with the Indiana Democratic State Party, I am stepping down as chairman of the St. Joseph County Democratic Party and as chairman of the Second District Democratic Party, effective today."

AP reports: The Senate threw its support behind the potato Tuesday, voting to block an Obama administration proposal to limit the vegetable on school lunch lines.
Agriculture Department rules proposed earlier this year aimed to reduce the amount of french fries in schools, limiting lunchrooms to two servings a week of potatoes and other starchy vegetables. That angered the potato industry, some school districts and members of Congress from potato-growing states, who say USDA should focus on the preparation instead and that potatoes can be a good source of fiber and potassium http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_CONGRESS_FRENCH_FRIES?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2011-10-18-20-38-59

Creators.com wrote: Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., pointed that out back in 1994 when the Republican-led Congress pushed for tax relief. Rangel denounced Republicans' plan as a form of modern-day racism, saying, "It's not 'spic' or 'nigger' anymore. (Instead,) they say, 'Let's cut taxes.'" That means the simple use of the N-word is not enough to make one a racist. If it were, blacks would be the nation's premier racists. Today it's the call for tax cuts that makes you a racist. That's why the "tea" party, short for "taxed enough already," is nothing more than organized racists. What makes tea partyers even more racist is their constant call for the White House and Congress to return to the confines of the Constitution. http://www.creators.com/conservative/walter-williams/it-s-hard-to-be-a-racist-11-10-12.html

WiseGeek defines a Republic: By definition, a republic is a political unit governed by a charter, while a democracy is a government whose prevailing force is always that of the majority. Perhaps one of the difficulties in defining these two words — democracy and republic — stems from the fact that many people consider them to be synonyms, which they aren’t.  The difference between a republic and a democracy lies in the ultimate source of official power. In the case of a republic, it lies with a charter; in a democracy, power lies with the rule of the majority.
In a representative democracy, citizens elect people to represent their interests in the government, and these representatives determine how issues are decided. http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-the-difference-between-a-republic-and-a-democracy.htm

As Benjamin Franklin once said, "You have a Republic, if you can keep it."
[Occupy Wall Street and its many offshoots is a President-promoted, hate the "rich" demonstration of what happens when the entitlement mentality is promoted in our schools for many decades and the President of the United States actively promotes class warfare.  Following is a terrific email of unknown authorship:]
Class war at its best:
The folks who are getting the free stuff don't like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

And,
The folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop, and the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!
Now...  The people who are forcing the people who Pay for the free stuff have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff are being mean, prejudiced and racist.
So... the people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff, by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff, and giving them the free stuff in the first place.
We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.
Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded.  The reason? The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.
The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 231 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that in 2012. Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.

The Bluefield Daily Telegraph, VA opines:  Currently, poverty earnings levels in the contiguous 48 states are $10,890 for individuals, $14,710 for couples and $22,350 for a family of four. The thresholds are higher for residents of Hawaii and Alaska.

Obviously, those annual earnings figures are pretty low, and people living at those income levels certainly face challenges. But understand that meeting a poverty threshold makes you eligible for federal and state assistance, like welfare, Medicaid, Aid to Dependent Children, food stamps, housing subsidies, student loans, etc., that help those who are classified as poor. In all, there are 71 federal means-tested welfare programs.

Unfortunately, poverty has political implications. For example, if you raise or lower those thresholds, you immediately change the number of poor in America. When you look beneath the surface of the poverty issue it becomes quickly evident that some of those classified as poor — emphasis on “some” — aren’t as bad off as we might think.
That conventional wisdom is borne out by what the Census Bureau tells us about Americans living in poverty:

• 80 percent of poor households have air conditioning

• Nearly three-fourths have a car or truck, and 31 percent have two or more cars or trucks

• Nearly two-thirds have cable or satellite television, one-third have a wide-screen plasma or LCD television, one-fourth have a digital video recorder system, and two-thirds have at least one DVD player

• Half have a personal computer, one in seven have two or more computers, and 43 percent have Internet access

• More than half of poor families with children have a video game system, such as an Xbox or PlayStation

You can make a persuasive argument that at least some of those classified as poor, those who fall into the categories listed above, aren’t really poor in the true sense of the word.
No doubt President Johnson and those who supported the War on Poverty believed this action would eliminate poverty. But despite spending almost $16 trillion since declaring war on poverty — which is more than the National Debt that has accumulated throughout our 235-year history — welfare programs have failed to reduce poverty.
Poverty will never be completely eliminated, but we can reduce it substantially if we stop punishing marriage, foster job creation and stop rewarding people for not working. Continuing to throw money at it will not solve the problem. http://bdtonline.com/columns/x350485855/Despite-trillions-in-welfare-spending-poverty-increases-in-America

Real Clear Politics reports: Tavis Smiley [a PBS host as yet uninvited to the White House] says the President is ignoring blacks, the "most loyal" part of his base who "ought to be looked out for." Smiley spoke to NBC's Lester Holt. In April, Smiley said the 2012 elections will be "the most racist in the history of this Republichttp://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/04/26/tavis_smiley_2012_will_be_the_most_racist_election_ever.html

Real Clear Politics writes: It's just not that black folks are hurting the most now. It's that there's no sign that it's going to get any better. There really are two questions in black America, I think, Lester, have to wrestle with. At least two questions. Number one: what is the pain threshold in black America? What is our pain threshold, number one. And number two, what is the presidency really worth? Is it worth not saying anything? Is it worth being silent when you're catching the most hell, when you're suffering the most pain? Especially, when you're the most loyal part of the President's base," Smiley said.

"That's not hating on the President, it's defending your own flanks. And whatever happened to that notion that to the victor goes the spoils? If anybody ought to be looked out for, it ought to be the persons who represent the most significant and the most loyal part of the base. That would be African-Americans."

Smiley says he understands that President Obama is taking the "political risk" looking "tribal" if he were to look out for the concerns of his race. "What makes presidents great, makes them transformational is taking risks," Mr. Smiley says. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/09/15/tavis_smiley_to_obama_blacks_ought_to_be_looked_out_for.html

The Blaze writes: American Atheists, a non-profit that claims to protect the rights of atheists and to ensure the “absolute separation of government and religion,” always seems to find itself in the middle of controversy.
As if the most recent Ground Zero cross lawsuit the group launched isn’t enough to inspire widespread angst, an explosive new blog post on the organization’s web site advocating for the “eradication” of fundamental Christians (and Islamists) is certain to make waves.
In the post, Al Stefanelli, American Atheists’ Georgia State Director, makes a bizarre connection between radical Muslims and Christians. In speaking about “fundamentalist Christian and radical Islamic doctrines,“ Stefanelli says that both are ”dangerous, damaging and disingenuous.” Throughout the blog post, he continues to create ties between these two groups, but declines to truly define them.
Aside from making this comparison, he goes on to write that “most of these people” (again referring to both fundamentalist Christians and Islamists) “lack the maturity and intelligence” to act in “a socially acceptable manner.” Many of these adherents, he believes, are “sociopaths,” “psychopaths” or simply “delusional.”
But the underbelly of fundamentalist Christianity and radical Islam does not operate in the legal system. They don’t respond to lawsuits, letters, amicus briefs or other grass-roots campaigns and they must, must, must be eradicated.  http://www.theblaze.com/stories/american-atheist-leader-calls-for-the-eradication-of-fundamentalist-christians/

Glenn Beck reports: The New Black Panther Party is currently led by Malik Zulu Shabazz.  Glenn Beck reports: The Black Panthers are back and once again they managed to say something even crazier and more shocking than the last crazy thing they said. This time they lash out at Capitalism but more surprisingly President Obama, who he said has ‘bombed’ his own homeland while cutting a deal with Satan.
[You can watch the video or read my almost perfect rendition of his phrases and words:]  Our government has created a capitalist blood-sucker economy, white supremacy, racism,  - guilty.  To President  Barack Hussein Obama- we elected you, but not to bomb your homeland, to bomb Africa.  You can't make a compromise with the Devil, with Satan.  Stand up for the black god, black power.  Hands off Africa!  We have to fight.  Gird up your loins college students,  young black man and black woman - for the hour of war is at hand.  http://www.glennbeck.com/2011/09/16/shabazz-capitalist-blood-sucker-economy/
