My computer has been hacked into from Ukraine and I am unable to even log on.  I will try to use my friend's computer.

We read glowing reports and articles about "Sustainable Agriculture." It is difficult to create an awareness of the potential harm because the verbiage and slogans used sound so benevolent. The reality is that foodshed regulations will give environmental groups and government agencies control over all means of production of the food consumed by the American people. Through increased taxation and regulation, American citizens will be stripped of their wealth and property and all resources will be redistributed as government sees fit.
The new agricultural system has these changes and more:
  1. Each community will grow its own food on individual and/or community-owned farms that form a boundary around the community.
  2. All farming will be sustainable and eco-friendly. Organic farming will be certified and monitored by a farm stakeholder committee. This will ensure that food labelled “Organic” is authentic.
  3. Constant measurements will be taken to guarantee that the sustainability and eco-friendly BMPs (best management practices) parameters are maintained.
  4. Organic farming will be productive without the use of pesticides or unnatural fertilizers.
  5. Industrial farming will no longer be allowed to damage the earth.
  6. Importing foreign food products will be reduced in order to increase local production and help the local economy.
  7. “A sustainable community is one which provides all of its own needs for air, water, land (or food and fiber), and energy resources within the confines of its own site.”  http://www.freedomadvocates.org/articles/illegitimate_government/sustainable_agriculture_-_a_relatively_new_globalization_process_20091215387/
  8. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It has become an article of faith among some policy makers and advocates, including Michelle Obama, that poor urban neighborhoods are food deserts, bereft of fresh fruits and vegetables.
  9. But two new studies have found something unexpected. Such neighborhoods not only have more fast food restaurants and convenience stores than more affluent ones, but more grocery stores, supermarkets and full-service restaurants, too. And there is no relationship between the type of food being sold in a neighborhood and obesity among its children and adolescents.  http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/18/health/research/pairing-of-food-deserts-and-obesity-challenged-in-studies.html?_r=1

    Rules for Power Tactics:

    1. Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
    2. Never go outside the experience of your people.
    3. Whenever possible, go outside of the experience of the enemy.
    4. Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
    5. Ridicule is man's most potent weapon.
    6. A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.
    7. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
    8. Keep the pressure on with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.
    9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.
    10. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.
    11. If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside.
    12. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.
    13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

  11. gfRules to test whether power tactics are ethical:

    1. One's concern with the ethics of means and ends varies inversely with one's personal interest in the issue.
    2. The judgment of the ethics of means is dependent upon the political position of those sitting in judgment.
    3. In war the end justifies almost any means.
    4. Judgment must be made in the context of the times in which the action occurred and not from any other chronological vantage point.
    5. Concern with ethics increases with the number of means available and vice versa.
    6. The less important the end to be desired, the more one can afford to engage in ethical evaluations of means.
    7. Generally, success or failure is a mighty determinant of ethics.
    8. The morality of means depends upon whether the means is being employed at a time of imminent defeat or imminent victory.
    9. Any effective means is automatically judged by the opposition to be unethical.
    10. You do what you can with what you have and clothe it in moral garments.
    11. Goals must be phrased in general terms like "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity," "Of the Common Welfare," "Pursuit of Happiness," or "Bread and Peace."

In an unprecedented private property grab, Governor Rick Snyder's Michigan Department of Natural Resources issued an Invasive Species Order (ISO) that allows his agents to forcibly commandeer and destroy heritage breed pigs on thousands of family farms in that state.
Citizens groups and conservative organizations are complaining that Governor Snyder's DNR is actively taking action to destroy these pigs, the farms and the farmers' liberties. In fact, the DNR teams have been likened to out-of-control SWAT teams.  http://www.newswithviews.com/NWV-News/news306.htm

Chicago - Residents of a Chicago condo whose building will be in the eye of the NATO storm are being warned that they should move out for the weekend ... or risk being trapped inside by rioters.
FOX Chicago News was first to report Friday that the people living in the 17-floor Library Tower building at 520 South State Street were warned in a letter from condo management that "we are STRONGLY recommending that all residents find places to stay during the conference from May 18 through May 21." http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/metro/nato-summit-library-tower-condo-association-summits-warning-residents-letter-riots-protests-state-street-20120420

Indiana’s law prohibits employers from making union membership a condition of getting or keeping a job. The union’s February lawsuit claimed the law violated its members’ Fourteenth Amendment guarantee of “equal protection” under the law.
But an amended complaint filed on Wednesday added a Thirteenth Amendment claim as well. The new lawsuit suggests that when nonunion employees earn higher salaries and better benefits because of the union’s negotiation on behalf of its members, the union has been forced to work for those nonunion employees for free.
And being forced to work without compensation, the union suggested in its revised lawsuit, is slavery.

[The amazing thing about the following video is how tongue-tied and nonsensical Joe Biden's answer is.  He can't seem to find a complete sentence or make a cogent response.] For instance: "So you are right, in a pure free-market the college tuition would have to be lower because there would be fewer people going to school, they wouldn't have as much coming in. But the end result is we would probably have -- we go for the better part, half a generation, of going 16th in the world maybe down to 20th in the world."  Biden Admits Government Subsidies Have Increased College Tuition   http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/02/06/biden_admits_government_subsidies_have_increased_college_tuition.html

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A Tea Party group in my district is typical of the reports we are hearing from all across the country.  This group submitted articles of incorporation as a non-profit to the state of California, and received approval within a month.  Then, they tried to register as a non-profit with the IRS.  Despite repeated and numerous inquiries, the IRS stonewalled this group for a year and a half, at which time it demanded thousands of pages of documentation – and gave the group less than three weeks to produce it.

The IRS demanded the names of every participant at every meeting held over the last two years, transcripts of every speech given at those meetings, what positions they had taken on issues, the names of their volunteers and donors, and copies of  communications they had with elected officials and on and on. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/04/21/irs-harassment-of-tea-party-groups

On a conference call this afternoon, the FBI announced a reversal of its decision to cut off the intelligence sharing of information from the Terrorist Screening Center (TSC). The FBI shut down reporting to the 77 fusion centers on March 1, and PJM reported on the shutdown yesterday.
The FBI had announced that that it would be resuming the TSC reporting this coming Monday, but without the Personal Information Intelligence (PII) that fusion centers had previously had access to (as I updated on the article yesterday afternoon). Fusion center officials had said yesterday that resuming the TSC reports without the PII would be “effectively useless.”
As recently as Wednesday, FBI officials were telling fusion centers and congressional staffers that PII would not be included in the resumed reporting. Two days and one PJ Media exclusive report later, and the FBI had completely changed course. It remains to be seen if the reporting is as the FBI represented it will be when it resumes on Monday. http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2012/04/20/fbi-reverses-course/

Under the guise of granting higher wages and healthcare benefits to daycare providers and personal care attendants, Connecticut’s Democratic-led state House has passed a bill that will force these workers to collectively bargain with the state.  However, the director of the Connecticut chapter of Americans for Prosperity (AFP)said on Friday that the measure, proposed as an amendment to another bill, will force daycare providers to unionize with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). According to JR Romano of AFP in Connecticut, the bill is “a direct assault on female business owners.” http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/04/23/connecticut-democrats-vote-to-force-unionization-of-daycare-and-personal-care-providers

ABC News contributor Donna Brazile on Sunday - like so many Obama-loving media members have in recent months - said, "The president can't control gas prices."
This led George Will to marvelously ask of his This Week co-panelist, "If he can stop the seas from rising, why can't he bring down gas prices?" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Allen West (R-Fla.) criticized the FBI on Monday for removing nearly 900 pages of training material it deemed to be offensive, saying it showed extremist Muslim groups were influencing national strategy.
The FBI made the move after Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) complained about some passages, including one that advised agents to "never attempt to shake hands with an Asian" and another that said agents should expect "outbursts" from Arab minds.
West said that by removing such passages, the FBI was committing "cultural suicide" and allowing groups like the Muslim Brotherhood to influence U.S. policy.  http://thehill.com/video/house/222985-allen-west-says-congress-allowing-muslim-brotherhood-to-influence-us-strategy

"It would be preemptively sacrificing American sovereignty" to approve the pipeline, White Hosue [sic] Press Secretary Jay Carney said, because a route for the northern portion of the pipeline has not been established.
"The United States Congress -- a very important body, takes American security and sovereignty very seriously, or should -- is saying that we will, in advance -- blind -- approve a proposal for a pipeline, a proposal for which does not exist," he also said.
The Keystone XL pipeline has undergone 3 years of review, but the State Department refused to grant a permit after pressure from environmentalists demanding the route through Nebraska be changed.
The bill passed through Congress earlier this week with a veto proof majority that included 69 Democrats voting for the newest measure. The latest route running through Nebraska has already been approved by the state legislature and signed by the governor in that statehttp://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/04/23/jay-carney-keystone-pipeline-would-preemptively-sacrifice-american-sovereignty

-Young America's Foundation's fourth annual GPA Redistribution Petition and Video Contest has produced yet another stellar student entry, this time from Carthage College. This year, the national public policy debate has focused on "fairness" through taxing the wealthy in an attempt to redistribute wealth. Many young people support this socialistic policy.

Yet, when students at Carthage where asked if they would be willing to sign a petition to redistribute GPA points from the top 10% to the rest of the college, most of them said NO. One student said, "No, because I worked hard for my grades!"

Another said, "At Carthage, each student has an equal opportunity to get the GPA they desire." And another, "I don't want my GPA being taken away from me if I had an 'A'."  http://cnsnews.com/blog/ron-meyer/students-sign-petition-redistribute-gpas-some-are-too-greedy-lower-their-grades
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The UN is to conduct an investigation into the plight of US Native Americans, the first such mission in its history.
The human rights inquiry led by James Anaya, the UN special rapporteur on indigenous peoples, is scheduled to begin on Monday.
Many of the country's estimated 2.7 million Native Americans live in federally recognised tribal areas which are plagued with unemployment, alcoholism, high suicide rates, incest and other social problems.
The UN mission is potentially contentious, with some US conservatives likely to object to international interference in domestic matters. Since being appointed as rapporteur in 2008, Anaya has focused on natives of Central and South America.
The US signed up in 2010 to the declaration, which establishes minimum basic rights for indigenous people globally.
Anaya said: "My visit aims at assessing how the standards of the declaration are reflected in US law and policy, and identifying needed reforms and good practices."

he science remains divided, but the
Obama administration has gone all-in with endorsing man-made global
warming, even funding efforts to help quell the potential for climate
changing catastrophes--including terrorism--in Africa and South America.

The White House is seeking $469 million in tax
dollars to dump into green programs on those continents, initiatives
ranging from helping farmers preserve pastureland to helping women who
can’t afford to move from hot and dry areas made worse by global
warming.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The year after Ronald Reagan entered the Oval Office with the goal of restoring America to greatness; Elena Kagan penned a telling and disturbing senior thesis titled "To the Final Conflict: Socialism in New York City, 1900-1933." In that body of work, Kagan lamented that "a coherent socialist movement is nowhere to be found in the United States"; and that," no "radical party" had yet "attained the status of a major political force." Kagan went on to sound a rally cry for "those who, more than half a century after socialism's decline, still wish to change America."
After graduate school Kagan went on to become Dean of Harvard Law, where she removed Constitutional Law classes from the curriculum, and replaced those necessary and time honored classes with required studies of international law. And in what appears to be a game of using a mutual enemy's resources to accomplish ones' true objective, Kagan also accepted a $20 million grant from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal - a noted Shariah Law proponent - to implement an "Islamic Studies" program.  http://us.mc1610.mail.yahoo.com/mc/showMessage?.rand=2087303405&fid=Inbox&mid=2_0_0_1_74256_ALDci2IAANnUT5W7BQvULEs1FGc#_pg=showMessage;_ylc=X3oDMTBucmhobGR0BF9TAzM5ODMwMTAyNwRhYwNkZWxNc2dz&mid=2_0_0_1_92667_AD7ci2IAAN3WT5YZ%2BQGPFFHGey4&fid=Inbox&sort=date&order=down&startMid=0&filterBy=&.rand=840360894&hash=3e23a78f47bc0fe191f1362fa710c8f5&.jsrand=1889602--

The Communist Party USA opened its national conference in New York this weekend, and the speakers weren’t shy about their plans for the United States of America.
In what constituted a clear step-by-step stratagem, Sam Webb, the party’s chair, opened his remarks by saying that the upcoming elections are only be part of “a grander design [that] will connect the dots between our immediate and longer-range political task.”

Some residents on the shores of Lake Michigan don't want turbines cluttering up their views, so they put a stop to the Scandia Offshore Wind project set for the waters of Lake Michigan in Oceana and Mason Counties. Now, however, new floating turbine technology could bring a wind farm to the waters of Lake Michigan without raising the ire of such residents; by placing them beyond sight.

"I get it ... I understand how waterfront property owners feel about turbines in front of their houses," said Charles Nordstrom, the senior engineer on the Glosten Associates PelaStar project who grew up on the shores of Lake Erie. "The Scandia project had a chilling effect on offshore wind in the Great Lakes. With PelaStar, we are going to melt that chill."  http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/20120424/great-lakes-could-home-floating-wind-turbines.htm
