No president of the United States is authorized to repeal parts of legislation passed by Congress. He may veto the whole legislation, but then Congress can override his veto if they have enough votes. Nevertheless, every president takes an oath to faithfully execute the laws that have been passed and sustained — not just the ones he happens to agree with.

Former Amalgamated Transit Union local 689 president Mike Golash, now an “Occupy” movement organizer, was caught on tape Sunday revealing his political goals: overthrowing capitalism in the United States and instituting a communist government.
“Progressive labor is a revolutionary communist organization,” Golash said during an Occupy DC “People’s Assembly” on August 19.
“Its objective,” he added, “is to make revolution in the United States, overthrow the capitalist system and build communism.”

Fox News Sunday’s Chris Wallace asked former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs about the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB), a 15-person panel designed to control health care costs by cutting payments to doctors.
“Medicare patients, millions of them, will lose access to Medicare benefits,” Wallace said to Gibbs, citing a Medicare actuary report. Gibbs tried to argue that Obamacare will lower costs by encouraging health care providers to prevent illnesses rather than simply treat them, but Wallace countered that “if the providers don’t do it, then what happens is, under your plan, this unelected board, 15 bureaucrats, come in and they decide, what — you are laughing at it, but that is it.”

The provision, a little-known part of ObamaCare, levies a 3.8 percent Medicare tax on investment income for couples making more than $250,000 or individuals making more than $200,000 a year. The tax is scheduled to go into effect on January 1, 2013.
Currently, the government levies a 2.9 percent Medicare payroll tax on all wages, with half (1.45%) paid by the individual and half by the employer.

In ”Shadowbosses: Government Unions Control America and Rob Taxpayers Blind,” Mallory Factor describes a December 9, 2008 memo from Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Healthcare president Dennis Rivera to the Obama-Biden transition team.
That memo outlined a legislative proposal calling for “increasing the capacity of the health care workforce” as part of a larger health care reform initiative.
