New findings of global warming fraud; Kindergarteners brainwashed by Barack Obama song; USA Today letter to the editor calls for firearms on Wall St. protest; A pharmacist's right to "conscientious objection"; "Runaway Slave" chronicles how government programs enslave blacks (their word); White House lies on oil production; 15 questions for Barack Obama; Syria's WMD; Volunteers upset the unions; Obama's co-chair indoctrinates her students for Obama

American Thinker reports: James Delingpole of The Telegraph reports that the British Parliament heard devastating testimony overturning the global warming hoax from MIT's Richard Lindzen who is the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meteorology, Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences.  Prof. Lindzen sounded the alarm early over the systematic subversion of Climate Sciences in North America and Europe by a cabal centered around Al Gore and the UN's Maurice Strong.
The Telegraph  has published Prof. Lindzen's presentation here as the House of Commons undertakes to "Reconsider the Climate Change Act" -- the provisions of which have decimated the British economy.  America's hapless Republicans somehow are unable to organize an effective political debate over global warming hysteria that is affecting everything from Solyndra to the Keystone Pipeline-- even though I'm sure Prof. Lindzen is available to testify before Congress.  This renewed debate in Parliament represents a significant shift in the balance of power against the eco-fanatics.  [As the Blaze said: If Lindzen is right, we will never be able to calculate the trillions that have been spent on the advice of “scientists in the service of politics”.]

The Blaze reports: Kindergarteners at a Texas elementary school were sent home with lyrics to a pro-President Barack Obama song that included such lines as “Barack Obama is the man” and “He’s our man, yes we can!”   The people have spoken in Houston and forced a school to change a its decision to use an over-the-top poem praising President Obama. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/hes-our-man-yes-we-can-shocking-obama-song-taught-to-kindergarteners-at-tx-school/

Big Journalism reports: USA TODAY’s editorial is right to say that Occupy might lack clear goals on how to move forward, but the movement has accomplished its main original goal: to protest these injustices, not by simply holding a rally and going home, but by keeping the rally going to underscore the seriousness of this problem. Your piece accuses the protesters of sitting around and doing nothing. So maybe they should take up their Second Amendment-sanctioned guns and storm Wall Street and our nation’s capitals. If our country doesn’t change, it could very well come to that one day.
Notice the language here. Rich Latta, the author, threatens outright to head to Wall Street with firearms. Janet Napolitano, where are you? He says they out to head to Washington, D.C. packing heat. Human Events reports: Beginning with its Jan. 13 Hollywood premiere, a black pastor and civil rights leader is introducing nationally his provocative film, “Runaway Slave,” which documents how government programs enslave his community.

“I hope that the impact of this film will be to strengthen the resolve of the black community, not to be taken for granted by those who have used them to secure elected office over the last 50 years,” said Rev. C. L. Bryant, a former Garland, Texas NAACP chapter president and the creator of the film.

“There is a 50-year-old lie that caused an entire people to become slaves to the political idea that the government knows best,” he said.  http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=49688

UPI reports: The White House is lying to the American public when it says its policies are responsible for increased oil production, the American Petroleum Institute said. But API President Jack Gerard said Obama is taking credit for policies enacted under the previous administration.
"The administration suggests that its policies are, in fact, already increasing oil production," he said. "This couldn't be farther from the truth."
Gerard claims Obama's policies are pushing energy investments out of the U.S. market, a trend which is to blame for everything from high unemployment to an increased trade deficits.

Investors.com writes: Industry leaders gathered in Houston say rising fuel output comes in spite of, not because of, the president's policies and the pain at the pump will soon be excruciating.
"These have been the most difficult three years from a policy standpoint that I've ever seen in my career," Bruce Vincent, president of Houston oil and natural gas producer Swift Energy, told the Houston Chronicle.
"They've done nothing but restrict access and delay permitting," he added. "The Obama administration, unfortunately, has threatened this industry at every turn."
Vincent led the voices exposing White House press secretary Jay Carney's phony assertion Wednesday when asked about gas prices soaring above $4 per gallon.
Carney said President Obama had "put in place policies that will dramatically expand the amount of exploration in the Gulf of Mexico, will expand the amount of exploration in Alaska, will expand the amount of natural gas production here in the U.S."
Really? "The administration has done everything BUT support drilling," said NAPE attendee and former Shell executive John Hofmeister. "We are on the verge of slipping into an energy abyss." http://news.investors.com/article/602069/201202231805/energy-abyss-caused-by-obama-policies.htm

15 Questions The Mainstream Media Would Ask Barack Obama If He Were A Republican

Points and figures asks: #9) You made bipartisanship one of the central themes of your campaign in 2008. Yet, you’ve worked to push bills through Congress with almost no Republican support, spent much less time negotiating with Congress than George Bush did, and you’ve said things like, “But, I don’t want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don’t mind cleaning up after them, but don’t do a lot of talking.” Why did you decide to break your campaign promise to pursue bipartisanship?#12 Back in July, you said, “Nobody’s looking to raise taxes right now. We’re talking about potentially 2013 and the out years.” Since you plan to raise taxes if you’re elected and you’ve had kind words for a value added tax, shouldn’t every American expect a tax increase if you’re reelected?  http://pointsandfigures.com/2012/02/21/15-questions-the-mainstream-media-would-ask-barack-obama-if-he-were-a-republican/

The Cable reports: The State Department has begun coordinating with Syria's neighbors to prepare for the handling of President Bashar al-Assad's extensive weapons of mass destruction if and when his regime collapses, The Cable has learned.

Syria is believed to have a substantial chemical weapons program, which includes mustard gas and sophisticated nerve agents, such as sarin gas, as well as biological weapons. Syria has also refused IAEA requests to make available facilities that were part of its nuclear weapons program and may still be in operation. http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2012/02/24/exclusive_state_department_quietly_warning_region_on_syrian_wmds

Fox News reports: With budgets tighter than ever, cities across America are increasingly looking for more free labor. Nowhere is that trend more evident than Yakima, Wash.
“More and more every year, a large part of what we do is volunteers,” says Archie Matthews, Yakima’s director of neighborhood development services, “It saves us a ton of money.”
Matthews says begging for volunteers is not beneath him. And to his surprise, he usually gets them. Once signed up, they do a variety of tasks, including construction work for low-income housing, painting over gang graffiti and keeping senior centers from having to close their doors.
Mary Lizotte, 74, volunteers eight hours a week at a senior center, where the paid staff has been trimmed to just three employees.
But not everyone is thrilled about the civic spirit. Some unions are pushing back, fearing volunteers are cutting into their territory. “They’re eroding the number of hours for our people,” says Ian Gordon of Laborer’s Union 1239 in Seattle. “It’s of great concern that they might be doing further work that we would normally do.”

RedWhiteBlue News reports: In November 2011 Loretta Harper was awarded All Star of the Week for her dedication to the Obama Campaign.
Today Loretta Harper of Las Vegas was named a national co-chair of the Obama 2012 Campaign.
The Obama campaign appreciates her hard work.
Part of that work includes giving high school students credits for volunteering for democrat campaigns.
Write on Nevada reported:
During the 2008 Obama campaign, when he won Nevada on his way to the presidency, Harper said she got more than 100 students extra credit when they volunteered to help elect the Democrat. (Emphasis added.)
No word on if Harper, who makes $74,000 a year plus benefits, plans to expand outreach “efforts” like this nationwide now that she’s a co-chair of Obama’s re-election campaign, but if you’ve got ”free labor” available, why not take advantage?
As Write on Nevada clarified in their post, Harper gave students credit not extra credit for volunteering for democrats. http://redwhitebluenews.com/?p=25155

A report from the Reagan Day Dinner in Traverse City

At a recent Saturday night at the Grand Traverse Resort, Ronald Reagan was celebrated when nearly 400 Republicans gathered for dinner and time with state and potential federal politicians.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder was there, speaking about the great success he and all Michigan residents have had in improving the financial conditions in Michigan.  U.S. Representative, Dr. Dan Benishek attended, and held a meet and greet prior to dinner.

Each of the six candidates for the U.S. Senate seat of Debbie Stabenow spoke to the crowd.  The last of the candidates to speak was former candidate for Governor of Michigan, and former U.S. Representative and member of the House Intelligence Committee, Pete Hoekstra.  He complimented the other candidates, and stated that his colleagues had already outlined the domestic issues of this election, offering a vision of freedom and what will happen in American when government gets out of the way, and what America can and will be when we get more freedom.  He then delivered a rousing speech in which he criticized our current Commander-in-Chief.  He said: We asked our military [following 9/11] to go out in the world alone, and to risk their lives each and every day to keep us safe...... [And now Barack Obama] holds over their heads the possibility that they will be prosecuted [over normal war-time tactics they have been asked to perform].  Saying that during WWII our President told the military to go to Europe and Asia.  He didn't put a time line on it.  Go there and defeat the enemy and we will win and we will bring freedom to the rest of the world.  In Afghanistan, our military is risking their lives for what?  A timetable.  No one has defined what the job is.  It is unfair to ask them to go overseas to stay and to protect us and to defend us on a timeline!  If it is a timeline and not a mission - I'm sorry, come home today!"  He said it is wrong to have a timeline " so that this President can be reelected!"
He noted that every time any President apologizes for America, as this President does with some frequency, the enemy is emboldened and America loses her stature.  His speech received a groundswell of enthusiasm and spoke not just to his candidacy, but to the safety of America - something we can all understand.

Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty capped off the evening with an endorsement of Mitt Romney for President.  Aside from his focus on Romney he asked us to look at the measure of a person - his values; his leadership; his requisite experience and judgment; whether he is grounded; and whether his heart and head are connected.
He told the story of 10 year old Maylon whom he asked to speak to a crowd such as this about his beliefs.  Maylon said, "Well, Governor, if you keep taxes low, people have more money.  If people have more money, they'll buy more things.  If they buy more things, businesses will be busier; if businesses are busier, they will hire more workers. And those workers will have more money!"  Governor Pawlenty laments that this 10 year old boy understands more about the economy than does President Barack Obama.

Director Blue reports: General Motors and General Electric are two companies that have been in the political crosshairs lately. GM stands accused of “crony capitalism,” while GE is under fire for paying no Federal income taxes in 2010. The two companies share more than that though, with GE placing an order for 12,000 Chevy Volts and other hybrid vehicles.

A memo leaked to Green Car Reports lays out GE’s plans for their new fleet of Volts, and as expected, it has some people crying foul.
The memo, sent to employees of GE Healthcare Americas team explains that all sedan, crossover, and minivan purchases in 2012 will be replaced by the Chevy Volt. Only field engineers are excepted from having to drive a company Volt.

GE will offer estimates for installation Level 2 Charging Stations, though all-gas use will be allowed when there is no electric option. Any employees who opt out of the Volt program will not be compensated for their expenses. Those who do choose to drive the Volt will be reimbursed for public charging and home charging costs, in addition to gas uses.

...GE is positioning itself as a big player in the EV charging market. Getting employees into Volts also means getting charging stations into homes. .. http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2012/02/its-crony-capitalism-trifecta-ge.html

The UK Daily Mail writes: Wind turbines are a ‘public menace’, the chairman of the National Trust chairman has said.
Sir Simon Jenkins dismissed wind as the ‘least efficient’ renewable power.
The honest admission is surprising coming from the the head of the charity, as it champions green energy as part of its conservation work.
‘We are doing masses of renewables but wind is probably the least efficient and wrecks the countryside,’ he said.
While the National Trust officially continues to support ‘a major increase in the UK’s renewable energy generation’, it is fighting several plans for wind farms, including one to erect a massive 417 wind turbines in the Bristol Channel.
The trust is concerned about the impact of the 220m (721ft) turbines on the environment and on views of the coastline.

The UK Daily Mail writes: U.S. energy officials have set a bullish target for wind farms to generate one fifth of the country’s electricity by 2030 - but Mother Nature certainly isn’t going to make it easy.
Academic experts at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, say half of the turbines at four proposed offshore wind farms are likely to be destroyed by hurricanes in their 20-year life.
The proposed wind farms at Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina and Texas could cost $175million each, but the researchers believe current designs of turbines mean many will not survive

Astonishing though it may be, there are some parts of the world where Edison’s light bulbs haven’t yet reached. And these are the slums in certain third-world countries. Nonetheless, the slum dwellers have found their way out — and how!
MyShelter Foundation helped them by bringing to life a sustainable lighting project that aims to deliver the eco-friendly “solar bottle” bulb to underprivileged communities. First experimented with in the Philippines, the ingenious project in the slums of Manila gives thousands of poor Filipinos solar light via plastic bottles filled with water and bleach and inserted into the roofs of their homes. RedState writes: In a true “what the frack” moment, the State Department, in association with the USC School of Cinematic Arts, has included the film Gasland in a list of 29 films to be showcased around the globe as part of an “international cultural diplomacy initiative”. The initiative, called “The American Film Showcase”, takes a panel of directors, film experts, and assorted talking heads to events the world over to screen the selected films and discuss them.
Gasland, you may recall, made quite a splash for the now famous scene featuring flammable tap water. The film (we hesitate to use the term “documentary” so loosely) is an opus to anti-natural gas drilling, and uses the fears of families about their drinking water to great dramatic effect. However, the infamous flammable tap water turns out not to have anything to do with “fracking”, despite what filmmaker Josh Fox would have audiences believe. That scene, that most pivotal scene, is not what it appears to be. As our own Steve Maley has pointed out, both the Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, among others, have debunked Fox’s claim: http://www.redstate.com/absentee/2012/02/17/state-department-promoting-gasland-other-enviro-films-to-foreign-audiences/

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hot Air reports: Stand by for the backlash from environmentalist groups. One of the mainstays in the green movement and their efforts to derail domestic energy production is the widely touted liberal doctrine that fracking is bad. (For those just joining our program, fracking is the common nickname associated with hydraulic fracturing.) Various political, agenda driven activists like Josh Fox have made a fine living blaming fracking for everything from exploding sinks to earthquakes. (No… seriously.)
In the past, when a series of studies have shown the majority of these claims to be nonsense, activists responded by claiming that the institutions performing the studies must have deep, secret ties to the energy industry. Therefore the results must be suspect. But now a new study is out, and this one comes from academia.
The hydraulic fracturing of shale formations to develop natural gas has no direct connection to groundwater contamination, according to a study released Feb. 16 by the Energy Institute at the University of Texas at Austin.http://hotair.com/archives/2012/02/18/university-study-fracking-hasnt-contaminated-groundwater/

Chron.com reports: The number of rigs in U.S. oil fields has more than quadrupled in the past three years to 1,272, according to the Baker Hughes rig count. Including those in natural gas fields, the United States now has more rigs at work than the entire rest of the world.
"It's staggering," said Marshall Adkins, who directs energy research for the financial services firm Raymond James. "If we continue growing anywhere near that pace and keep squeezing demand out of the system, that puts you in a world where we are not importing oil in 10 years."
The technology that fueled the national shale gas rush is moving into oil fields. The pairing of fossil fuel production techniques called horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing allowed companies to access previously hard-to-reach natural gas trapped in dense shale rock.
"As far as drilling and production, it's going to be really good and robust," said Michelle Michot Foss, chief energy economist for the University of Texas Bureau of Economic Geology. "But consumers will be upset because gasoline prices will continue to be high." http://www.chron.com/business/article/U-S-oil-gusher-blows-out-projections-3341919.php

Townhall writes: Even if additional tax revenue all went to poor single mothers -- which it will not -- the multiple problems of children raised by poor single mothers would not be cured by throwing money at them. Indeed, the skyrocketing of unwed motherhood began when government welfare programs began throwing money at teenage girls who got pregnant.
Children born and raised without fathers are a major problem to society and to themselves. There is nothing "fair" about increasing the number of such children.
A more fundamental problem with the "fairness" issue raised by Beckel and many others is the slippery vagueness of the word "fair."
To ask whether life is fair -- either here and now, or at any time or place around the world, over the past several thousand years -- is to ask a question whose answer is obvious. Life has seldom been within shouting distance of fair, in the sense of even approximately equal prospects of success.
Four years ago, TV interviewer Charles Gibson pointed out to candidate Barack Obama that raising capital gains tax rates had on a number of occasions led to less capital gains tax revenue being collected -- and, conversely, lowering the capital gains tax rates had on other occasions increased the amount of capital gains revenue collected by the government.
Obama readily admitted that. But he said that "fairness" justified a higher tax rate on "the rich." Yet how does a higher tax rate on paper, without a real increase in the amount of taxes actually collected, promote fairness?

The Washington Post writes: A nasty spate of anti-Americanism set off by Vladimir V. Putin has grown into waves of attacks aimed at the new American ambassador and Russian opposition leaders, raising questions about the future of U.S.-Russian relations.
The attacks started just before the December parliamentary elections and have intensified as the March 4 presidential vote approaches. Although widely viewed as aimed primarily at a domestic audience, they have grown shriller and more aggressive, provoking debate about whether Russia is deliberately giving a cold shoulder to President Obama’s effort to promote more productive relations.
A main target of the attacks is Michael McFaul, the new ambassador, a longtime democracy advocate and Russia expert who as a top aide to Obama has been an architect of what the White House calls a “reset’’ with Moscow.  [As Obama promised, under his kinder leadership the world would love us once again.] http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/in-russia-putin-allies-sharpen-anti-american-attacks-ahead-of-elections/2012/02/14/gIQA1s6DIR_print.html

Congress responded to UNESCO’s unwarranted intrusion into the Middle East peace process by invoking a U.S. law that prohibits funding of any international organization that recognizes a Palestinian state.

Financial Times reports: At the start of Barack Obama’s term, few moments better crystallised America’s change of face than his “New Day” video address to the Iranian people. Ending with a salutation in Farsi, Mr Obama offered Iran a new era of “co-operation”. It followed from the promise in his inaugural address to “extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist”.
Unhappily, Tehran has ignored Mr Obama’s overtures. Not only is Iran thought to be within striking distance of how Israel defines its “zone of immunity” – the point at which Iranian nuclear weapons capability is irreversible – it has also threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz. Nothing spells global recession faster than $200-a-barrel oil prices. And nothing will bring a colder sweat to Mr Obama’s electoral strategists than the thought of conflict with Iran.
Yet that is what many in Washington are now calling a “probability”. Some White House officials have referred to 2012 as the “year of Iran”. It was supposed to be dominated by the US economy. Might it instead be the moment Mr Obama takes that 3am phone call?
Many fear so. Some, including the New America Foundation’s Steve Clemons, talk about Mr Obama’s impending “Cuban missile crisis”. Much as Nikita Khrushchev misread John F. Kennedy as a pushover, and then tested his brinkmanship over Cuba, so Mr Obama is perceived by Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, to be susceptible to intimidation.

The Greeley Gazetter writes: A Wall Street Journal editorial titled “Stop coddling the super-rich” Buffett called for raising taxes on what he called the “super-rich.”Buffett’s definition of super-rich is people making $1 million or more. According to Buffett, most rich people support being allowed to pay more in taxes. “Most wouldn’t mind being told to pay more in taxes as well, particularly when so many of their fellow citizens are truly suffering.”
Buffett is chairman and chief executive of the giant financial firm, Berkshire Hathaway. According to a company report, they have been involved in a tax dispute with the IRS for years.

Richard McCarty, a researcher for Americans for Limited Government, said the company appears to have had a practice of short-changing the government for years. “The company has been short-changing the tax collection agency for much of the past decade.   Mr. Buffett’s company has not fully settled its tax bills from 2002-2009.  Yet he says he’d happily pay more.  Except the IRS has apparently been asking him to pay more going on nine years.”

According to Berkshire’s 2010 annual report, the company has been in a near decade-long struggle with the IRS over its own taxes. Using public documents, a certified public accountant detailed Berkshire’s tax problems to Americans for Limited Government researcher Richard McCarty, revealing the damage could be close to $1 billion. Netright Daily adds:
According to page 56 of the company report, “At December 31, 2010… net unrecognized tax benefits were $1,005 million”, or about $1 billion. McCarty explained, “Unrecognized tax benefits represent the company’s potential future obligation to the IRS and other taxing authorities.  They have to be recorded in the company’s financial statements.” http://www.theblaze.com/stories/how-much-is-buffetts-berkshire-hathaway-back-tax-bill-exactly-about-1-billion/
The 2009 results  show that the average taxpayer paying Buffet’s 17.4 rate earns an adjusted gross income between $100,000 and $200,000. But an average taxpayer in Bosaneck’s rate (after downward adjustment for payroll taxes) earns an adjusted gross income  of $200,000 to $500,000. Therefore Buffett must pay Debbie Bosanke a salary well above two hundred thousand.
We must wait for further details to learn how much more than $200,000 she earns. The tax tables tell us about average ranges. For all we know she earns closer to a half million each year, but that is pure speculation. http://www.forbes.com/sites/paulroderickgregory/2012/01/25/warren-buffetts-secretary-likely-makes-between-200000-and-500000year/

The NY Times reports: A couple of years ago, the school district reached a revolutionary contract with teachers. Pay and benefits would rise, but teachers would embrace reform — including sacrificing job security. With a stronger evaluation system, tenure no longer mattered and weak teachers could be pushed out.
Roughly half of a teacher’s evaluation would depend on the performance of his or her students — including on standardized tests and other measures of learning.
We all use the same litmus test: Would we want our kid in that room?” says David Cicarella, president of the New Haven Federation of Teachers, the local union. “We all recognize that we need to do something. Tenured teachers who are ineffective — that is an issue. We want to do something about it. But it’s not fair either to blame all teachers.”
Mayor John DeStefano Jr. of New Haven says that the breakthrough isn’t so much that poor teachers are being eased out, but that feedback is making everyone perform better — principals included. “Most everybody picked up their game in the district,” he said. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/16/opinion/kristof-the-new-haven-experiment.html

Natural News reports: The Obama Administration has proposed significantly hiking air travel fees to cover the costs associated with the U.S. Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) molestation of air travelers. Under the new plan, which would garner a whopping $32 billion in ten years, ticket fees that cover the costs of TSA security screenings would more than double for passengers, costing them at least $5 per one-way trip.

As the TSA continues installing naked body scanners at U.S. airports and hiring hordes of new agents to grope travelers at airports, bus stations, trains stations, and even sports stadiums, the agency's more than $8 billion annual budget is rapidly ballooning. And rather than continue to siphon the cash to pay for this unconstitutional nightmare of tyranny directly from taxpayers, Obama and Co. wants to make airlines, airports, and air travelers foot the bill.

Detroit News reports: More than 400 graduate research assistants at the University of Michigan got a little good news last week in their fight against being forced into a union. The state Senate introduced a bill that would settle the matter by clearly defining the research assistants as students — not public employees.
The Legislature should pass the bill, and soon.
Sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville, R-Monroe, the bill would amend the state's Public Employment Relations Act to protect the student researchers from an organizing drive abetted by U-M's Democratic regents, but opposed by the university administration. http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120221/OPINION01/202210327/1008/opinion01/Editorial-Lawmakers-should-protect-U-M-researchers

The seven endangered islands in the Arctic Ocean and Bering Sea include one the size of Rhode Island and Delaware combined. Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard writes: I’ve gleaned his views from the two budgets and from the “reducing the budget” speech in April 2011, the address to a special session of Congress on jobs in September 2011, the speech at Osawatomie, Kansas, last December, and the State of the Union address last month. Here’s what the president not only believes but is committed to:
(1) America is an unjust and deeply unfair country. “The basic bargain that made this country great has eroded,” Obama said at Osawatomie. “Hard work [has] stopped paying off for too many people. Fewer and fewer of the folks who contributed to the success of our economy actually benefited from that success.”
(2) A looming debt crisis? Forget it. Obama hardly mentioned the deficit or the national debt in the State of the Union
(3) Government spending is better at spurring the economy than private investment.
(4) Tax reform should flush loopholes and special breaks out of the tax code, broaden the base, and raise tax rates for the well-to-do.
(5) When the rich get richer, the middle class and poor get worse off.
(6) Conservative, free market economics is a plague. Obama describes it as an economic system that tells Americans, “You’re on your own.”
(7) Medicare and Medicaid are not big problems. The huge deficits they are projected to generate can be handled by “modest adjustments,” he said in the jobs speech.
(8) The investor class is not tax sensitive. Raise the rates on income, capital gains, and dividends, impose a minimum income tax rate on millionaires of 30 percent, and it won’t change their financial behavior. After all, they’re rich. ABC News reports: Gingrich told the crowd, many of them young students, there was a real threat of an American city being wiped out. Gingrich said the Obama administration refuses to acknowledge radical Islamists.
“All of you should be very deeply concerned about national security. Barack Obama is the most dangerous president in modern American history,” Gingrich said.
Gingrich said the Obama administration was demonstrating “willful dishonesty” over describing what motivated the suspected terrorist from Morocco, who was arrested Friday by FBI agents for allegedly plotting to blow up the Capitol.
“Any honest person knows what motivated the person who came here,” Gingrich said. “This is not smearing everybody, this is not Islamaphobia. If we can’t have honest conversation about radical Islamists and we can’t figure out — there is a very specific group of people across the planet — there’s a very specific desire to kill us.”
Gingrich said the Obama administration was intellectually disarmed and incapable of describing threats that face the United States. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/02/gingrich-obama-is-dangerous-defeating-him-a-duty-of-national-security/

Townhall explains: Please consider Jobless disability claims soar to record $200B as of January
Standing too many months on the unemployment line is driving Americans crazy — literally — and it’s costing taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars.

With their unemployment-insurance checks running out, some of the country’s long-term jobless are scrambling to fill the gap by filing claims for mental illness and other disabilities with Social Security — a surge that hobbles taxpayers and making the employment rate look healthier than it should as these people drop out of the job statistics.

His research also shows a growing number of men, particularly older, former white-collar workers, instead of the typical blue-collar ones, are applying.

The big concern about the swelling ranks is that once people get on disability, they’re unlikely to give it up and go back to work. http://finance.townhall.com/columnists/mikeshedlock/2012/02/21/newest_government_magic_trick_disability_fraud_holds_down_unemployment_rate_disability_hits_record_200b/page/full/

The UK Telegraph reports: Ministers will today warn that previous policies to encourage multiculturalism have failed and left people “afraid to express legitimate concerns and frustrations.”
The Coalition will today publish a new “integration strategy” which will set out plans to reunite communities across the country and halt the rise of extremism.
The integration strategy will state: “We believe in certain values and will actively promote them: freedom of speech; freedom of worship; democracy and the rule of law. Long-standing British values of tolerance are the bedrock of our society. We will champion a united British identity, across class, colour and creed.”
The strategy will advocate the teaching of British history and culture in schools and encourage the flying of flags in public places. It will also say that the Government “wants” immigrants to speak English and for the new national citizen service for teenagers to bring together children from different backgrounds. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/immigration/9095181/Immigrants-will-be-expected-to-speak-English-and-champion-British-culture.html

The bill, part of a broader House Republican effort to fund highways and infrastructure projects, would also expand offshore oil drilling and open up parts of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling.
While approval of the Keystone measure by the House was widely expected, what happens with a similar proposal in the Democratic-controlled Senate is not yet clear. http://news.yahoo.com/house-passes-keystone-bill-senate-action-uncertain-020608235.html

PJ Media reports: Now that America-hating Islamists control three-quarters of Egypt’s parliament and the military government has rejected American protests at the prosecution of U.S. citizens for supporting democracy, Egypt is asking for $11 billion in Western aid. That has to be the least popular idea to float down the Potomac in a long time. Nonetheless, the Obama administration and its supporters in the Punditeska doubtless will ask American taxpayers to ante up a large part of the $11 billion handout, in the interest of  “promoting Egyptian democracy.” Only in America do we feed the mouth that bites us. Putin vowed to deliver an "effective and asymmetrical response" to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's plan to cast a missile-defense shield over Europe while thoroughly overhauling the army's ability to confront modern threats.

I do wish our President would take even more vacations!
American Thinker gives us an amazing article!  Here it is: Anyway, I forced myself to endure the scorching temperatures and pitchforks to congratulate you on those brilliant HHS regulations forcing people to fund insurance coverage for  abortions, sterilizations and birth control against their consciences.
Darling Adolf just loved to do that sort of thing. Remember -- are you old and well read enough to remember?  He figured out that if he could get people to operate against their conscience on small things, big things like Judenrein would be easier. Of course, that was just a start.
Martin Bormann said it just right: "National Socialism and Christianity are irreconcilable."  For the party  to rule, he said  the Churches' influence in the leadership of the people "must absolutely and finally be broken."  He was taking about the Nazi party, but heavens, Democrats, Nazis -- state control is state control.
So, this move by your Administration is just a great first step. You had all the social justice crowd in the church supporting you ,and now those wicked bishops -- how many divisions do they have anyway? -- had to step in to try to put a stop to this.
The media want to replace old fashioned religion with civic religion as much as you and I do.   So, some Catholics have and continue to threaten to shut down their social welfare services rather than comply with such things?  Great.  The sooner the people learn that the state is the provider of all things, the better -- for you and your party. Of course, not necessarily better for them or their country, but that's not the point, is it?
I suppose you have some other good ideas in the wings at HHS . Off the top of my head here are some ideas for you: Make public schools serve pork and require all kids to eat it; force Christian Scientists to see physicians and take medicine; make the Mormon Tabernacle Choir admit Moslems; ban religious circumcisions of males; draft the Amish into the military; outlaw Lutheran lutefisk parties  and  bake sales.
My goodness, the possibilities once you control the levers of power! And what could possibly give you more power than controlling healthcare delivery?

I mean even Michelle Obama's Mirror calls it the "SS.  See something, Say something."   I think she means it sarcastically but check out the great logos she's come up for the Truth Team!!  We couldn't do better and we tried  in between roastings.
I figure a couple years of this and there will be no private insurance companies because they'll be run out of business, or employer provided health insurance because it's all going to be too expensive.  And then you'll have the entire country in the palm of your hand.  [Do yourself a favor and read the entire article!]-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Godfather Politics reports: And now House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has announced that she intends to push for national childcare reform, supposedly modeled after Obamacare but is starting to sound more like it is being modeled after Hitler Youth.
Pelosi started by recounting her own experience saying,
“‘I could never get a babysitter — have five kids in six years and no one wants to come to your house. … And everywhere I go, women say the same thing’ about how hard it is to find the kind of reliable care that would make their family lives calmer and work lives more productive.”

And if that happens — or when, according to her — at the top of her to-do list, she says, will be “doing for child care what we did for health-care reform” — pushing comprehensive change.
Congress did pass such a bill, in 1971, but President Richard M. Nixon vetoed it because he thought it would undermine families and force them to put children in government-run centers. http://www.washingtonpost.com/princess-nancy-pelosivows-to-do-for-child-care-what-we-did-for-health-care/2011/11/15/gIQACzY1VN_story.html?tid=sm_twitter_washingtonpost

The Hill reports: The insurance industry is concerned it will take a hit from the Obama administration’s mandate that they provide birth control in health plans for employees of religious organizations that object to the coverage.
The trade group America's Health Insurance Plans has limited its comments to saying it worries about the "precedent" the mandate would set. The concern is that the government could eventually require health plans to cover any number of preventive services – even prescription drugs - without copays or deductibles, under the theory that they save money in the long-term. http://thehill.com/blogs/healthwatch/health-reform-implementation/211563-insurers-could-take-hit-from-birth-control-mandate

Daily Caller reports: House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told The Daily Caller that federal employees should not have to “carry an undue burden” by paying more into their pensions to fund legislation that would extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment insurance for a full year.
“No, no. I think that we can do better than that. I support the actions of Mr. Hoyer who’s been a leader on this,” Pelosi told TheDC on Capitol Hill Thursday.
“Mr. Van Hollen, Mr. Cardin, to name a few of the — a couple of the conferees plus our distinguished Whip who’s been a champion for our federal employees. They do great work for our country. We all have to make sacrifices in this. They should not carry an undue burden.”
Congressional negotiators had reportedly considered requiring all federal employees to contribute an additional 1.5 percent into their pensions to partially pay for a package that would extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits. At this point, they have agreed to require only new federal employees to put an additional 2.3 percent of their salaries toward pensions.

Atlas Shrugs reports: FBI officials say they are willing to consider a proposal from a coalition of Muslim and interfaith groups to establish a committee of experts to review materials used in FBI anti-terrorism training.

Groups at the meeting included the Islamic Society of North America, the Muslim Public Affairs Council, the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund, the Interfaith Alliance, and the Shoulder-to-Shoulder campaign.
The FBI is satisfied with the job that its own experts had done in reviewing and purging “problematic” materials, Allen said.
Mueller told representatives of the groups that FBI experts had reviewed almost all of the agency’s training materials. More than 700 documents and 300 presentations were subsequently pulled from the agency’s training materials.
Materials that were pulled contained incorrect or imprecise information, were stereotypical, or “in poor taste,” the FBI said. http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2012/02/fbi-open-to-us-muslim-brotherhood-groups-establishing-a-committee-to-review-materials-used-in-fbi-an.html

Western Journalism writes: The Liberty Legal Foundation has filed an appeal with the Georgia Superior Court in the case of Weldon v. Obama, one of the three Georgia lawsuits claiming Barack Hussein Obama to be Constitutionally ineligible to serve as president of the United States or to be included on the Georgia ballot.
It is probably significant that the very act of filing the appeal was fought by the Superior Court clerk’s office which claimed that an additional $2 fee had not been included with Liberty Legal’s paperwork for the filing of separate motions.
Additionally, the Court Clerk invented numerous excuses to prevent the filing, moving from one to the next whenever it was pointed out by Liberty Legal attorneys that none reflected normal court operating procedure. Free Beacon reports: President Obama’s plan for the Pentagon to cut deployed strategic nuclear warheads by 80 percent is meeting harsh resistance from House Armed Services Committee Republicans on Capitol Hill who called the plan “dangerous.”
In a letter to the president sent Thursday, a group of 34 House members expressed deep concerns about a National Security Council directed plan to reduce strategic warheads to as few as 300 weapons.
“At a time when every other nuclear weapons state has an active nuclear weapons modernization program and many are growing their stockpiles and capabilities, it is inconceivable to us that you would lead the United States down such a dangerous plan,” the lawmakers stated.

With the nation of Egypt in turmoil, and the fact that the Muslim Brotherhood is poised to assume total control over Egypt, why would any sane and rational person sell tanks (or any weapon) to a nation bent on not only destroying its neighbor, but who would turn the same weapons on the US to destroy it.

Fr. Wilde stated that it is legal to protest in front of the Executive Mansion, but only if the protestors are physically in motion.
