All about the Fluke outrage; Bill Maher and Louis C.K.; DHS and DOJ usurp Congress; House wants to limit nuclear warhead cuts; Obama promoted Bell's Critical Race Theory; Non-white racial supremecy pushed by Bell; "I live to harass white folks"; Radical on Obama committee re: Syria; Stimulus funds foreign workers; NAACP to ask UN Human Rights Council to launch investigation into American voter ID laws; Cable networks run Obama film; Piven predicts 2nd phase of Occupy; Obama usurps Congress on European Union code for outer space;

The Blaze reports: For those of you who wish to see Bill Maher in action, along with other Progressives, in speaking of Republican women, the following video gives you a comparison of speech. To some of you this may seem trivial, but I see it as part of the Progressives' war on conservatives.  It is being presented by the left as the reason no women should vote for a Republican.  "New Media" has provided information that is providing a push back and expose on who the Progressives really are.]
Politico:  Rush Limbaugh has drawn the ire of celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, who sent a letter to the Palm Beach County state attorney requesting an investigation into whether the popular radio host should be prosecuted for calling a law student a “slut” and “prostitute” last week.
“Mr. Limbaugh targeted his attack on a young law student who was simply exercised her free speech and her right to testify before congress on a very important issue to millions of American women and he vilified her. He defamed her and engaged in unwarranted, tasteless and exceptionally damaging attacks on her,” Allred told POLITICO Friday afternoon. “He needs to face the consequences of his conduct in every way that is meaningful.”
In a letter dated March 8, Allred, writing on behalf of the Women’s Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund, requested that Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe probe whether the conservative radio personality had violated Section 836.04 of the Florida Statutes by calling Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke the two derogatory words.

The statute stipulates that anyone who “speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity” is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. Allred explained that the statute recently came to her attention as having never been repealed, and that it could very well apply to Limbaugh’s remarks as his show is broadcast from West Palm Beach.  [It's clear that the First Amendment is under attack.]
Mark Styne writes a terrific article which I hope you will read.  Part of that article follows:
She's had the courage to stand up in public and demand that someone else (and this is where one is obliged to tiptoe cautiously, lest offense is given to gallant defenders of the good name of American maidenhood such as the many prestigious soon-to-be-former sponsors of this column who've booked Bill Maher for their corporate retreat with his amusing "Sarah Palin is a c***" routine ...)
Where was I? Oh, yes. The brave middle-age schoolgirl had the courage to stand up in public and demand that someone else pay for her sex life.
No, the most basic issue here is not religious morality, individual liberty or fiscal responsibility. It's that a society in which middle-age children of privilege testify before the most powerful figures in the land to demand state-enforced funding for their sex lives at a time when their government owes more money than anyone has ever owed in the history of the planet is quite simply nuts.
From Powerline: The Democrats went crazy in the aftermath of Rush’s error, posturing themselves as the upholders of civility. Barack Obama got into the act, calling Ms. Fluke to congratulate her on her demand for free goods and services, and to ask how her delicate psyche was a holding up. Obama later explained that he did it for his daughters, Sasha and Malia, whom he would never want to hear coarse language.
Well. There was a basic problem with the Democrats’ strategy; namely, that pretty much everyone knows that when a Democrat talks about a Republican woman, “slut” or “prostitute” would be considered a compliment. So it was no surprise when conservatives pointed out that Bill Maher, who contributed $1 million to Obama’s re-election campaign, has called Sarah Palin a “c***” and a “dumb t***,” along with other, sometimes worse, epithets. When asked about Maher’s disgusting attacks, President’s Obama’s press secretary explained that Obama is not a speech policeman. So evidently Sasha and Malia will have to hear some crude talk after all–from Democrats, anyway.
Of course, Bill Maher is just one of many. Democrats, in general, are cruder and more vitriolic than Republicans. So it didn’t take more than 24 hours or so for Greta van Susteren to point out that someone named Louis C.K.–it is highly unlikely that you have heard of him–was scheduled to host the 68th Annual Radio & Television Congressional Correspondents Dinner on June 8. Those correspondents, of course, are some of the very people who had been excoriating Limbaugh for calling Ms. Fluke a “slut.” CNN’s Jay McMichael headed the committee that was in charge of the program:
“We’re very excited about having Louis C.K. at the dinner,” said Jay McMichael of CNN, who chairs the RTCA’s executive committee. “This is an evening you’ll want to experience. We’re shaking things up, showcasing the unexpected, and delivering lots of laughs.”
Lots of laughs, indeed: Mr. C.K., it turns out, is foul-mouthed even for a Democrat. Ms. van Susteren collected some of his comments about Sarah Palin. Feel free to skip ahead if you have a weak stomach.

So tonight Glenn Reynolds reported that the Congressional Correspondents (Democrats all, no doubt) have decided to forgo the pleasure of hearing Sarah Palin’s c*** and t*** ridiculed, along with her young son–how funny is that!–and have discreetly canceled Mr. C.K.’s appearance.  [Congratulations, New Media - doing the work of the old.]

This civility thing could be tough on the Democrats. What are they going to do for entertainment?

Personal Liberty writes: The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) died in Congress, but the Administration of President Barack Obama is showing it doesn’t need the legitimacy of law in its effort to take over the world. Now, through the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice, any Internet domain is subject to seizure at any time.
The U.S. government has a history of going after online gaming operations, whether they are located within the United States or offshore. But stepping into another country’s jurisdiction steps it up a notch.
Online gambling has nothing to do with Homeland Security. There are two reasons the Administration is doing this: Control of Internet content and money. Piracy is just the cover story the Administration uses.
Free Beacon reports: A senior House Republican leader of the Armed Services Committee filed legislation on Thursday that would limit nuclear warhead cuts under a treaty with Russia and prevent President Obama from cutting strategic nuclear forces by 80 percent.
Representative Mike Turner (R., Ohio), chairman of the strategic forces subcommittee, said in an interview that the legislation he authored was introduced in response to the failure by the president to follow through on promises two years ago to spend $8 billion to modernize aging U.S. strategic weapons and infrastructure.
The current budget request asked Congress for nearly $500 million less. Under provisions of the 2010 defense authorization law, the president agreed to spend $72.4 billion on nuclear weapons from 2014 to 2021.
The current U.S. strategic arsenal of 5,000 deployed warheads will be cut to 2,000 deployed warheads under the treaty, with 3,000 remaining in storage.
Russia currently has between 4,000 and 6,500 warheads. China has between 300 and 400 warheads, although Chinese secrecy has raised questions about whether Beijing has hundreds or even thousands of additional warheads.
The modernization-funding program was a precondition for many Senate Republicans who agreed to vote in favor of ratifying the New START arms treaty with Russia in December 2010. [Well, it's like Iran - we cannot trust that the bargain struck will be honored.]
Breitbart reports: In 1994, Barack Obama taught a course at the University of Chicago Law School entitled, "Current Issues in Racism and the Law." The reading list and syllabus for that class were made available by the New York Times in 2008.
Obama routinely assigned works by Bell as required reading, including Bell's racialist interpretations of seminal civil rights laws and cases. No other scholar’s work appears as often in the syllabus as Bell’s does.
Obama relied particularly heavily upon Bell’s major work, Race, Racism, and American Law (1973). Now in its sixth edition, the book lays out Bell’s Critical Race Theory, which is based on the Alinskyite presumption that all of law is a construct--not of justice, but of power exercised by whites against blacks.  [ Who is the Bell?  He was a radical full professor at Harvard whom Obama asked all protesters to take into their hearts and minds.  He is just one more radical mentor of our America hating President.]
The Right Scoop reports: Great video picked up by the Breitbart crew in the vetting of Barack Obama. Sowell, in this video, describes how Bell didn’t just want Harvard to hire a black woman, but a black woman who didn’t “think white”. In other words, it was more about ideology than skin color.
As Dr. Melissa Clouthier explains on twitter, the idea of Critical Race Theory means “Merit-based is wrong. Color-blind is wrong. (Non-white) Racial supremacy is right.”
And this radical view is what Barack Obama decided to take a stand for at Harvard.

Obama mentor Derrick Bell: 'I live to harass white folks'

World Net Daily: A staunch denier of the Holocaust who long served as the deputy of late PLO leader Yasser Arafat served on the committee that invented the military doctrine used by President Obama as the main justification for U.S. and international airstrikes against Libya.
As WND first reported, billionaire philanthropist George Soros is a primary funder and key proponent of the Global Centre for Responsibility to Protect, the world’s leading organization pushing the military doctrine. Several of the doctrine’s main founders sit on multiple boards with Soros.

The Right Scoop reveals: Oops: Stimulus funds used to hire foreign workers over Americans in Oregon

The leaders of the NAACP will travel to Geneva next week to tell the U.N. Human Rights Council that a coordinated legislative attempt is being made by states across America to disfranchise millions of black and Latino voters in November's presidential election. The delegation, headed by NAACP President Benjamin Jealous, will call on the U.N. body to launch a formal investigation into the spread of restrictive electoral laws, particularly in the southern States. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mediate writes: As a liberal, this shouldn’t bother me. Yesterday, cable networks devoted whole segments to a film that presents President Barack Obama in a glowing, almost saintly light, even though it has little to no news value. The film focuses on the past, rather than on current events, and doesn’t present any new information (that’s why we call it “news,” knuckleheads), so even for a liberal like me, it’s hard to understand how these cable networks are doing anything other than trying to ensure the President’s reelection.

The Obama administration recently declared that America would follow, though not sign, a European Union code of conduct for outer space — a transparent end run around the constitutional requirement that the Senate ratify all treaties. This code, drafted by Europeans who do not bear America’s global responsibilities, restricts military activities in space as well as some peaceful dual-use technologies, like the multistage rockets used to launch commercial satellites.
Europe aspires to prevent an “arms race” in the heavens, but in reality, its code would substantially impede advances in space technology because such innovations could also be labeled as military. While security activities receive an exception, it appears confined to self-defense, a term often defined narrowly to include only cross-border attacks. We should not take the unnecessary risk that our rivals will exploit such ambiguity to prevent legitimate American actions.

CNN reports: The Pentagon tried to clarify remarks made by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, when he told a Senate committtee on Wednesday that the U.S. military is seeking "permission" from a foreign organization to intervene in Syria.
"He was re-emphasizing the need for an international mandate. We are not ceding U.S. decision-making authority to some foreign body," a defense official told CNN.
In testimony to the Senate Armed Services Committee, Panetta had an exchange with Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Alabama, who said Congress was circumvented when Obama decided to join the NATO coalition in Libya.
Sessions said, "We spend our time worrying about the U.N., the Arab League, NATO and too little time, in my opinion, worrying about the elected representatives of the United States. As you go forward, will you consult with the United States Congress?"
Panetta: Pressure mounting on Syria
Military resists intervening in Syria
Panetta replied, "You know, our goal would be to seek international permission. And we would come to the Congress and inform you and determine how best to approach this, whether or not we would want to get permission from the Congress."
"I'm really baffled by the idea that somehow an international assembly provides a legal basis for the United States military to be deployed in combat," Sessions said. "I don't believe it's close to being correct. They provide no legal authority. The only legal authority that's required to deploy the United States military is of the Congress and the president and the law and the Constitution."
American Thinker reveals: In Spain, the U.S. Ambassador Alan Solomont told Muslims assembled at the town hall-like meeting in the heart of Barcelona's old city that Barack Obama wants to improve America's image in the Middle East as quickly as possible by closing the "dark chapters" of the U.S. invasion of Iraq and the war in Afghanistan.
In Ireland, the U.S. Ambassador Dan Rooney, a lifelong Republican turned Obama acolyte, told members of a seminar held to help Muslim immigrants increase their influence within the Irish business and financial communities, that the US was "solidly behind" efforts to bring the Irish banking system into conformity with Islamic legal principles.
In Austria, the US Ambassador William Eacho, an Obama campaign fundraiser turned political appointee, awarded the first prize in a film contest to promote "diversity and tolerance" to a group of students in the northern Austrian town of Steyr who produced a one-minute silent film promoting tolerance for Muslim women who wear Islamic face-covering veils such as burkas in public spaces
Russia's Prava comments on American press: A singularly remarkable event has taken place in the United States of America. This event occurred in Arizona on March 1st and was an earth shattering revelation.
A long awaited press conference was given by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a five time elected Sheriff, which should have made national and international headlines. Arpaio's credentials include serving in the United States Army from 1950 to 1953, service as a federal narcotics agent serving in countries all over the world with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), and served as the head of the Arizona DEA. Without doubt, this is a serious Law Enforcement Officer, not one to be taken in by tin-foil-hat wearing loons.
Yet, in the five days since his revelations there has been little in the way of serious reporting on the findings he presented in his presser. With 6 short videos, the Sheriff and his team presented a devastating case, one the tame US press is apparently unable to report.
On April 27, 2011, President Barack walked into the White House Press room with a Cheshire cat like grin and a "Long Form Birth Certificate" from the State of Hawaii in hand.  From the podium in the press room, Mr. Obama said, "We're not going to be able to solve our problems if we get distracted by sideshows and carnival barkers,". Quite the barb from a man holding a forged document.
That's right, forged. Forged documents are being used to qualify a President of the United States for the office he holds. Or is usurped the more accurate term?
The silence from the main stream media in the US is deafening. It almost seems as if the press is terrified to even think the question, let alone ask it: Is the President a criminal?
Logistics Monster writes: The 21st century Thomas Paine, Bob Basso, has been summoned to the White House by the Usurper-In-Charge, “to discuss the disturbing nature of the videos.”  Common sense and a free republic have become “disturbing”?  You have to give Bambi credit for seeing someone that can steamroll his fascist conversion of our country when he sees it.  Bob Basso may not be the “leader” that Americans are looking for right now, but he definitely is the voice.
I have a feeling that silencing Dr. Bob Basso is going to be a little harder to do than making a deal with the Republican Party to get into the WH.

Bob Basso, who posts videos under the name funbobbasso on YouTube, has created videos in which he portrays Thomas Paine, author of the “Common Sense” pamphlet that made the case for independence during the American Revolution. [If you haven't seen "We the People", you are missing something.]
Breitbart reports: Here’s the whole story: In Michigan, many disabled people receive public subsidies, which they can then use to hire caretakers. Very often, those disabled people are cared for by their parents, who use the subsidies to ensure proper care for their children.
Thanks to former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm (D), back in 2005, the SEIU was able to rope these caretakers into a union in an unpublicized election in which 80 percent of the caretakers didn’t vote. But, you say, these people weren’t government employees. Why would they need a union? The answer is simple: they don’t. The SEIU simply wanted to unionize these folks to allow them to extract forced dues. Those dues are skimmed off of Medicaid payments, and handed over to the union. The result: $29 million poured into the SEIU’s coffers since 2007.
Fox News reports: As the sheriff of Lincoln County, W.Va., Jerry Bowman is sworn to uphold the law. But the 58-year-old law enforcement veteran stood in a federal courtroom in Charleston on Wednesday and pleaded guilty in a shocking voter fraud case that has stripped him of his job and could send him to prison for a decade.
Prosecutors say Bowman and former Lincoln County Clerk Donald Whitten, 62, were part of a scheme to steal the May 2010 Democratic primary by stuffing ballot boxes with illegal absentee ballots.
Bowman admitted to falsifying more than 100 of the absentee ballot applications and even voting with some of the ballots himself, while Whitten, who also pleaded guilty Wednesday, acknowledged lying to investigators about the plan to try to throw the election.
"It makes you mad," said Charles Brumfield, who ran against Bowman for Lincoln County circuit clerk, about having the election stolen from him. "It was hurtful. You just didn't think that would happen in today's society."
Brumfield told Fox News that on election night, he was ahead by about 235 votes. That is, until additional batches of absentee ballots started mysteriously appearing, repeatedly, throughout the evening.

Stop Liberal Madness reports: While patriotic Americans in the Tea Party are speaking out against the $15 trillion of debt, unprecedented deficit spending, and entitlements teetering on the edge, Rep. Mike Doyle likens them to “terrorists” and accuses them of holding his favored spending programs hostage.
“We have negotiated with terrorists. This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.” —Rep. Mike Doyle (D-PA)
While discussing protests against the HHS mandate requiring religious-affiliated organizations to provide free contraceptive services to their employees, Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) said:
“The National Institute of Health has said that it is a danger to women’s health and safety of their families, that for 30 years, to be exposed to the prospects of pregnancy.”
In October 2011, while unsuccessfully trying to pass his “American Jobs” stimulus bill, the President heightened his rhetoric against conservatives as they offered a plan based more on common-sense economic solutions and core American principles.
“Then you have their plan . . . let’s have dirtier air, dirtier water, less people with health insurance.” —President Barack Obama
MSNBC reports: Although many fast-food chains, including McDonald's, have said they are pulling the infamous "pink slime" from their hamburgers, school districts across the country are still serving it to kids. McDonald's and other fast-food chains had been using scrape and waste -- muscle and connective tissue normally used in dog food, in their hamburgers.
Pink slime is bits of meat and muscle salvaged from slaughterhouse floors that are treated with a pink chemical to kill any dangerous pathogens. According to an earlier report by, the unappetizing pink goo is widely used in the food industry as an anti-microbial agent in meats and as a leavener in bread and cake products. It's regulated by the U.S. Agriculture Department, which classifies it as "generally recognized as safe."
Rolling Stone reports: Earlier this week, Attorney General Eric Holder explained why it's perfectly legal for the U.S. to assassinate an American citizen without trial in a time of war – targets like al Qaeda-linked cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who was taken out by a drone strike last October in Yemen. To make his case, Holder reached for a distinction between "due process," guaranteed to all citizens under the Constitution, and "judicial process," which, somehow, isn't. As Stephen Colbert helpfully explained last night, "Due process and judicial process are not one and the same. The Founders weren't picky. Trial by jury, trial by fire, rock-paper-scissors – who cares?" "Due process," he went on "just means there's a process that you do."  [Here's one more reason this Administration proves it is anti-Constitution minded.  It's not allowed to waterboard a terrorist at Gitmo, but is is a okay to kill an American citizen without trial or questions.  Are you happy yet?  Will you VOTE???]
Expose Obama writes: OK,Rush, manfully done. Sandra Fluke is NOT a slut! She is a liberated, extremely enlightened being of the female persuasion who demands that you and I pay for whatever she chooses to do with HER OWN BODY! Which is only natural and healthy and a mandatory piece of Obamacare. Which you also get to pay for,as part of being an American.
So there.
Actually,Ms. Fluke turns out to be a 31 year old feminist Reproductive Rights activist with a Linkedin page showing a “Law Practice” in the “Los Angeles Area.” I didn’t realize that law school students have law practices, but if she didn’t have one before, she will soon,I guess.
But Ms. Fluke is definitely NOT a SLUT.
Even Obama seized the moment to call Sandra and apologize to her on behalf of all the good people of America for the unbearable insult she received in defense of women’s rights.
How did he get her phone number so fast, you ask?
And just to make sure the nation remembers this moment for a long time to come,I propose that we immortalize Sandra Fluke’s heroic stand by adopting the name “fluke” to refer to any and all federally-protected gender-related activities in all liberal categories, including M,F,B,G,L,and T.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Western Journalism reports: With no authorization from Congress, President Barack Obama has announced that his administration–through the Federal Housing Administration–will insure refinanced mortgages for 2 to 3 million borrowers without verifying their income or even if they hold a job, according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Obama announced his latest mortgage program at a White House news conference on Tuesday.
Any American with a mortgage insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) endorsed on or before May 31, 2009 and who is current with their mortgage payments would qualify, according to HUD.
[Again displaying for us in inefficiency of government to accomplish anything], The Washington Times reports: Despite receiving more than $885 million in federal economic stimulus funds since 2009, the D.C. government — whose residents face one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation — cannot say how many jobs it actually created for those who live in the District.
If anything, the employment picture has worsened in the District. At the end of 2011, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the city’s unemployment rate was 10.4 percent, ahead of only three states: Nevada (12.6 percent), California (11.1 percent) and Rhode Island (10.8 percent).
That figure contrasts sharply with a 5.5 percent unemployment rate in the metropolitan D.C. area, which includes parts of Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.
In the District, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate has increased by 8 percent since 2009, as the D.C. government was receiving historic levels of federal stimulus funding via contracts, grants, loans, tax benefits and entitlements.
Daily Caller reports: Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke is being represented by a former Obama adviser’s PR firm, Bill O’Reilly explained on his Thursday night program “The O’Reilly Factor,” suggesting that the young woman was indirectly planted at the center of the contraception controversy by the Obama administration.
It has been somewhat of a mystery as to how Sandra Fluke came to fame prior to Rush Limbaugh’s ill-advised remarks and why she was chosen by congressional Democrats to give expert testimony on the issue of contraception.
O’Reilly offered his theory Thursday, revealing the unusual circumstances regarding Fluke’s media ascendancy.
“As we reported last night ‘The Factor’ believes Sandra Fluke contraception controversy was manufactured to divert attention away from the Obama administration’s disastrous decision to force non-Catholic organizations to provide insurance coverage for birth control and the ‘morning after’ pill. That might very well be unconstitutional.”
UK Daily Mail reports:  President Barack Obama's re-election campaign plans to release a 17-minute documentary next week about his first term in office.
The Road We've Traveled will be released on March 15, but until then, the campaign has unveiled a snippet of the film as a trailer on YouTube.
The film is narrated by actor and director Tom Hanks.
The trailer opens with the Saving Private Ryan star asking: 'How do we understand this president and his time in office?
'Do we look at the day’s headlines, or do we remember what we as a country have been through?' [Suit yourselves, but I just can't make myself watch past the opening sentence.  A Hollywood movie inviting us to think not of today's headlines, but of poor Barack's tough times is not my cup of tea.  The trailer is on the website.  I can't wait for the conservative vetting in a movie due out this summer.]

Hypocrisy on women's rights; Wikileaks reveals Democrat efforts to steal 2008 election; Moral authority; Rep. Hypocrisy: demanding that the government stay out of your bedroom and your womb while simultaneously demanding that it pay for your birth control and your abortions.....  No, I did not write this.  It is a cartoon I found on Facebook...
From World Net Daily, via Pat Dollard: The latest activity by Wikileaks dumped some 5 million emails and documents hacked from the database of Stratfor Intelligence. The emails reveal Democrats’ effort to steal the 2008 election.
Shocking revelations from a Wikileaks document dump show the Democrat Party committed a felony when it stuffed ballot boxes in Ohio and Philadelphia during the 2008 presidential election.
A memo further revealed that the so-called “Reverend” Jesse Jackson was paid a handsome figure to keep his mouth shut about candidate Obama, a man for whom he had little regard.
The same internal memo revealed that Obama’s campaign was taking Russian money surreptitiously.
In a published report, a second Wikileaks email indicated that 2008 Republican presidential candidate John McCain decided not to pursue legal action against the Democrats for engaging in voter fraud, believing that to do so would have thrown the country into civil unrest, and thus let the matter drop.
Emails between Stratfor staffers indicate that McCain’s actions were viewed as baffling, to say the least.
Obama recently said in a speech: "We are leading again by the power of our moral authority."  Now that's a good one!
While addressing supporters at a campaign donor event Thursday night, President Barack Obama was interrupted by a woman calling for “no war in Iran.” And he didn’t let the outburst go by unchecked.
“We ended torture,” Obama had said. “We promoted human rights. We made it clear that America is a Pacific power. We demonstrated that if countries like Burma travel down the road of democratic reform, they will find a new relationship with the United States. And we leading again by the power of our moral example. That’s what change is.”
Politico reports: Rep. Allen West said Tuesday he is “always willing and ready to serve my country” when asked about a potential vice presidential bid — a job Sarah Palin recently said he should be considered for.
Detroit News reports: Part of an $11 million grant intended to provide business attire to 400 low-income job-seekers instead helped only two people, an audit of the city's Department of Human Services has found. The audit, conducted by the city's auditor general for the period from July 2009 to September 2011, found the department failed to control the operations and finances of a boutique that was to provide the clothes.
The audit is the latest finding against the city's Department of Human Services, which has been under scrutiny for chronic mismanagement of federal funds. Many of the department's leaders have departed since an internal investigation was launched last year, including an inquiry into the purchase of $182,000 worth of high-end furniture for a department office. In 2009, the department received more than $11 million in stimulus funding and created a service center.  [We constantly learn in what ways it is not smart to invest in government the power to run anything at all.]|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE
Ed Henry, FOX News: Your critics will say on Capitol Hill that you want gas prices to go higher because you have said before that will wean the American people off fossil fuels onto renewable fuels. How do you respond to that?

President Obama: Ed, just from a political perspective, do you think the President of the United States going into re-election wants gas prices to go up higher? Is that -- is there anybody here who thinks that makes a lot of sense? Look, here's the bottom line with respect to gas prices: I want gas prices lower because they hurt families.   [Notice the key words - during an election year.  He is famous for saying that he wants electricity prices to go up, for it would reduce our use of fossil fuels.  He actually said that under his rules, our gas prices would necessarily skyrocket.
Listen carefully to his words when he speaks.  This time, as usual, he is using one tactic of the radical Saul Alinsky - 'Pick the Target, Freeze It, Personalize It and Polarize It.']
Barack Obama: "Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket." (January 2008)  Coal power plants would have to retrofit their operations, and they will pass the cost on to the consumers.

KTLA News reports: Jeanie Daniels told KTRK-TV in Houston that she was painting her nails in her seat on a recent Southwest Airlines flight from California to see her Houston-based boyfriend.
When a flight attendant asked her to stop, she did.But she decided to finish the last two nails in the airplane bathroom.
When she came out of the bathroom, a second flight attendant confronted her.
A verbal confrontation ensued and Daniels told KTRK she said, "Stop b**tching at me" to the flight attendant.
When the plane landed, Daniels was met by two Houston Police Department officers and charged with using "abusive profane language."
She spent 10 hours in jail before a judge dismissed the charge.,0,4063782.story
The Blaze reports: The White House seems to think we bishops simply do not know or understand Catholic teaching and so, taking a cue from its own definition of religious freedom, now has nominated its own handpicked official Catholic teachers. In the letter, the archbishop of New York went on to say that opponents have changed the debate to focus on women’s rights rather than religious freedom. “We will not let this deception stand,” he proclaimed. Dolan mentions both Congress and the courts as possible avenues to both protect and restore religious freedom. Despite this “light” that could be at the end of the proverbial tunnel, he warns that Catholics should “prepare for tough times.” He continues:
Brothers, we know so very well that religious freedom is our heritage, our legacy and our firm belief, both as loyal Catholics and Americans. There have been many threats to religious freedom over the decades and years, but these often came from without. This one sadly comes from within. As our ancestors did with previous threats, we will tirelessly defend the timeless and enduring truth of religious freedom.
Expose Obama reports: According to Ramdas,“empowering women to time their pregnancies” and to abort unwanted babies would reduce carbon emissions between 8-15% globally.
Ramdas claims:“It is common sense that when women are able to plan their pregnancies, populations grow more slowly and as a result so do greenhouse gas emissions. Providing access to contraception and preventative health should be one of the many effective strategies used to fight climate change.”
Ramdas thinks that preventing births and aborting unwanted children is especially important in the U.S. because Americans,on average, use 40% more of the earth’s resources than children in other countries.
Free Beacon reports: A proposed increase in health care fees for active and retired military members could add to the ballooning costs of President Obama’s health care reforms.

One of the ways the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) seeks to expand health care coverage is creating government-subsidized health insurance markets, called “exchanges.”
Administration officials told Congress that one goal of the increased fees is to force military retirees to reduce their involvement in Tricare and eventually opt out of the program in favor of alternatives established by the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.
The plan calls for between 30 percent to 78 percent increases in Tricare annual premiums for the first year, followed by five-year increases ranging from 94 percent to 345 percent—more than 3 times current levels.
Breitbart reports: Well, we found it. And it is damaging, because Barack Obama was as close or closer to Derrick Bell than he ever was to Jeremiah Wright. Obama didn’t merely sit in the pews – or not -- for Derrick Bell. He didn’t just hang out with Derrick Bell for prayers. He said:
“Open up your hearts and your minds to the words of Professor Derrick Bell.”
If we did, here’s what we’d be opening our hearts and minds to. This is a close associate of Jeremiah Wright, a man who was quoted by Jeremiah Wright regularly. This is a man so extreme that, as we’ve reported, he wrote a story in 1993 in which he posited that white Americans would sell black Americans into slavery to aliens to relieve the national debt, and that Jews would go along with it.
Fox News reports: The US offered to give Israel advanced weaponry -- including bunker-busting bombs and refueling planes -- in exchange for Israel's agreement not to attack Iranian nuclear sites, Israeli newspaper Maariv reported Thursday.
President Barack Obama reportedly made the offer during Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Washington this week.
Under the proposed deal, Israel would not attack Iran until 2013, after US elections in November this year. The newspaper cited unnamed Western diplomatic and intelligence sources.

Personal Liberty writes: President Barack Obama’s decision to elevate Tony West to the position of acting associate attorney general, which will rank him third on the ladder at the Department of Justice, falls into the “abnormal” category. West, who currently serves as the assistant attorney general for the Civil Division, embodies the spectacularly poor judgment that seems to coincide with nearly every declaration that has escaped Obama’s fevered brain.
Prior to his entrenchment in the dark corners of the Obama Administration, West enjoyed a career as a noteworthy attorney — albeit noteworthy for his choice of clientele rather than any legal hurdles he may have leapt along the way. West is the ambulance-chaser who rode shotgun in the courtroom for John Walker Lindh, among other clients of ill repute. If you’re scratching your head in an effort to locate Lindh’s name, check in Afghanistan. Lindh is the infamous “American Taliban” who joined the jihadis and took up arms for Islamofascism, only to be caught and stuffed in a cage for 20 years. West is the guy who tried to spring him.
And now, West is in line to play catcher for Attorney General Eric Holder. With Obama at the top, Holder right behind him and West backing Holder, Obama has created a Federal law enforcement agency run by the man behind Operation Fast and Furious and the man behind any Tariq, Dhakir or Hakim who gets nicked aiming an AK-47 at the 1st Ranger Battalion. To quote the sage: “What could possibly go wrong?”

Breaking News! Watch Sean Hannity tonight! The vetting begins!

Earlier today, Buzzfeed’s Ben Smith announced on Twitter that video researcher Andrew Kaczynski had released “the mysterious Harvard/Obama/race video that the Breitbart folks have been talking about.”
The video, which Kaczynski says was “licensed from a Boston television station,” shows a young Barack Obama leading a protest at Harvard Law School on behalf of Prof. Derrick Bell, a radical academic tied to Jeremiah Wright--about whom we will be releasing significant information in the coming hours.
However, the video has been selectively edited--either by the Boston television station or by Buzzfeed itself. Over the course of the day, will be releasing additional footage that has been hidden by Obama's allies in the mainstream media and academia.

Global Post reports: While all defectors sent back from China are believed to face harsh punishment upon their return to North Korea, the group now in China is particularly at risk: the North Korean government has said that anyone caught defecting during the period of mourning for Kim Jong Il’s death would have three generations of family members executed.

The Atlantic reports: The facts say this: African-Americans make up 10 percent of the House, but as of the end of February, five of the sitting six named lawmakers under review by the House Ethics Committee are black. The pattern isn't new. At one point in late 2009, seven lawmakers were known to be involved in formal House ethics inquiries; all were members of the Congressional Black Caucus. An eighth caucus member, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. of Illinois, had also been under investigation, but his probe was halted temporarily while the Justice Department undertook an inquiry of its own. Those are the facts, as Cleaver said. The question is why so many African-American members have been in the ethics spotlight.   [Indeed.  Another explanation, perhaps, is that black lawmakers are more prone to think they are above the law.  It looks as if Emanuel Cleaver believes we need to prosecute by percentages instead of by deeds.  Such is the way our government is going these days...  I will add that in late 2009 it was the DEMOCRATS who held the majority in the House, and a equal number of Republicans and Democrats are on the Committee.]
It is a grave accusation: Could the congressional ethics process, ostensibly safeguarded by professional staff members and by a bipartisan structure that allows nothing to move forward unless Democrats and Republicans agree, be singling out African-Americans?
Other explanations are possible. Perhaps more ethical issues arise within the black caucus than within the House as a whole. Many of its members occupy safe seats, after all, and have been in Washington for decades. Maybe some of them grew too comfortable or insulated, and they failed to track changing ethics standards.  [As Charlie Rangel said at his Ethics Committee hearing, it was THEY who asked HIM to do the unethical thing, and he did it to help them.]
Fox News reports: Three stories on the same day in this past Sunday's Las Vegas newspapers sum up this national outrage.
Let’s start with the Las Vegas teachers union. It was reported that more than a third of the union’s entire $4.1 million annual budget went to pay just nine union leaders.
The Teachers Union Executive Director received $632,546, while the CEO of the union-created Teachers Health Trust was paid $546,133.
So next time you hear educators scream that we must spend more money on education, because “it’s for the kids,” you’ll know the truth. It’s for the unions.
It’s always been for the unions.
Bernie Madoff has nothing on the government employee union scam.
Article number two in Sunday’s Las Vegas Review Journal was about those highly paid Las Vegas firefighters.
It turns out they weren’t satisfied with making almost $200,000 per year. They also abused sick leave, rigged work schedules to pump up their pensions, and appear to have engaged in widespread disability fraud
About half of all Clark County firefighters retired with work-related injuries in recent years- garnering bonus payments averaging $320,000 apiece. That’s in addition to their obscene pensions for life.
Truth or Fiction report on: The annual MLK observance at the state house in Columbia , SC had an interesting
twist [last] year. The event is held on the north side steps of the statehouse.
Prominent at that location is a large bronze statue of George Washington.
This year, the NAACP constructed a "box" to conceal the father of our country
from view so that participants would not be 'offended' by his presence.
I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this picture of the MLK Day rally in Columbia , South Carolina .
This rally was sponsored by the NAACP and they said that they covered the statue because they "didn't want to offend anyone". Really? George Washington is the father of this nation. How is he offensive to anyone?
Can you imagine what would happen if we covered the statue of Dr. Martin L. King on President's Day? or is only the statue of a 'white guy' offensive?
The Truth:
Truth for Fiction says: There was an event celebrating the life of Martin Luther King Jr. in Columbia, South Carolina and according to a January 18, 2011 article in South Carolina's The State, a statue of George Washington was covered by a three-sided structure that was "intended to display a rally graphic and serve as a photo-and-television backdrop for the event’s speakers."
[What a joke!  I want proof.]
. "However, the graphic was not finished before the rally and could not be put in place."

The State reported that the statue has been similarly covered at MLK Day events going back at least four years, though most groups holding rallies at the state house leave it unobstructed.
Daily Caller reports: On Saturday, Carbonite CEO David Friend released a statement on his company’s website declaring that Carbonite had decided to “withdraw” advertising from Rush Limbaugh’s radio show in the wake of his controversial remarks involving Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke because it will “ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse”:
However, it hasn’t done much to contribute to his company’s stock price. Since the market opened on Monday through its close today, Carbonite stock (NASDAQ:CARB) has plummeted nearly 12 percent, outpacing the drop of the NASDAQ index in that same time period by nine-and-a-half points. It was also one of the biggest decliners on the NASDAQ on Tuesday.
The Weekly Standard reports: The Associated Press reports that President Barack Obama struggled a little tonight in Democratic presidential primary in Oklahoma:
President Barack Obama collected the most votes in the Oklahoma Democratic primary, but lost in 15 counties.
With 98 percent of precincts reporting Tuesday, Obama won 57 percent of the vote. Four other candidates combined for 43 percent of the vote, including anti-abortion activist and Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry who received 18 percent of the vote.
Townhall carries the words of Michelle Malkin: I'm sorry Rush Limbaugh called 30-year-old Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke a "slut." She's really just another professional femme-a-gogue helping to manufacture a false narrative about the GOP "war on women." I'm sorry the civility police now have an opening to demonize the entire right based on one radio comment -- because it's the progressive left in this country that has viciously and systematically slimed female conservatives for their beliefs. We have the well-worn battle scars to prove it. And no, we don't need coddling phone calls from the pandering president of the United States to convince us to stand up and fight.
At his first press conference of the year on Tuesday, the Nation's Concern Troll explained that he phoned Fluke to send a message to his daughters and all women that they shouldn't be "attacked or called horrible names because they are being good citizens." After inserting himself into the fray and dragging Sasha and Malia into the debate, Obama then told a reporter he "didn't want to get into the business of arbitrating" language and civility. Too late, pal.
The fact is, "slut" is one of the nicer things I've been called over 20 years of public life. [The article details the various and far worse things that conservative women have been called by media - with no push back at all.  I suggest you visit the site to learn more about this hate talk from the left.]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- reports: An Ohio plumber thrust into national politics during the 2008 presidential campaign has won the Republican nomination in his home state as he makes a bid for Congress.
Samuel Wurzelbacher gained the nickname "Joe the Plumber" for expressing working-class concerns about taxes to then-candidate Barack Obama during a stop to the region.

Newsbusters writes: During live coverage of the Super Tuesday primaries, MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell declared that he hopes that Rick Santorum wins the GOP presidential nomination because he wants to see "hard core conservatism crushed" in November. Moments later, Chris Matthews declared his belief that Santorum would result in a "moderate to liberal Democratic party running the country" which he believed "would be good for the country."
Redstate writes: Secretary Napolitano said recently at a House Homeland Security Committee hearing that she is proposing a 50% cut in funding for the Federal Flight Deck Officer’s program (FFDO), also known as the armed pilots program, because “the program is not risk based.” Yet her Transportation Security Administration failed to detect a box cutter that ended up on a flight in Houston, Texas this past Monday. This is further evidence that President Obama’s and Secretary Napolitano’s plan to terminate the FFDO program is an aviation security mistake.

Expose Obama reports: Barack Obama Is Giving Away Oil Rich Alaskan Islands To The Russians [For those who didn't get it the first time.....]

The Obama Administration is looking to give Russia seven oil rich Alaskan Islands that were discovered and claimed for America by American explorers according to Alaska Republican 2010 Senatorial candidate Joe Miller.  “I think the bigger concern here is what natural resources are being lost to Russia,” says one commenter who deplores the secrecy involved with Obama and his SOS Hilary Clinton  gifting Putin with United States land.

But when I called the office of GOP AK long time Senator Lisa Murkowski, her aides told me it’s George Bush the father’s fault, and Obama’s people are just cleaning up long standing agreements.  I was given this direct email address which came back failed three when I tried to get them to go on the record.

Miller and blog researchers state that “the purported Agreement for the island give away WAS NOT and IS NOT a ratified treaty according to public record. . .and this Agreement was negotiated COMPLETELY IN SECRET!”
Famed naturalist John Muir was a member of the U.S. landing party of the U.S. Revenue Marine Ship fleet Thomas Corwin along with other American explorers who were awarded Gold Medals by Congress for their valiant discoveries and exploration of the following Islands which already have been given Russian names:Bennett Island, now Ostrov Bennetta;Wrangel Island, now Ostrov Vrangelya;Hennrietta Island, now Ostrov Genriyetty.
”The veto of Keystone Pipeline was to allow [Warren] Buffett’s Burlington Northern Railroad to make profit,” says another poster.  And China is in position to drill 70 miles off of Florida’s shores, but Floridians can’t.  Long term Democrat Senator Bill Nelson up for re- election yet again, fears our beaches could be damaged,so he’s keeping his voting base happy.  With our own President and members of Congress either handing over America to other countries or just looking the other way as is happening, how can we survive? Saying it’s George Bush the father’s fault is disgusting.  I asked Senator Murkowski’s aide,“Who in Congress is looking out for America? Who is taking care of us?”  I’m still waiting for their answers. You can call Congress toll free at 1-877-762-8762.

Hot Air reports: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been paying a defense contractor $11.4 million to monitor social media websites and other Internet communications to find criticisms of the department’s policies and actions.
A government watchdog organization, the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), obtained hundreds of documents from DHS through the Freedom of Information Act and found details of the arrangement with General Dynamics. The company was contracted to monitor the Web for “reports that reflect adversely on DHS,” including sub-agencies like the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Citizenship and Immigration Services, Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement
Free Beacon reports:  Defense Secretary Leon Panetta on Wednesday defended the Pentagon’s plan to increase healthcare fees for military personnel as a senior House Republican called the increases another Obama administration “hit” on the military.
Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon (R., CA) said some healthcare costs for military retirees will be raised 345 percent over the next several years and will include “means-tested” increases based on pay at retirement.
He also noted that civilian defense employees are not being hit with these same increases and are not being means-tested to gauge whether they can pay more. [Is this not a good illustration that not only does the Department have too much money floating around, but also that government cannot be trusted to manage taxpayer funds in responsible ways?]
In 2002, the Thomas More Law Center filed a federal lawsuit against the Byron Union School District in California over their three week indoctrination course on Islam for its seventh grade students, using the work book “Islam, A simulation of Islamic history and culture", workbook’s cover page.

The 12-year old students were told:
  • “From the beginning you and your classmates will become Muslim”
  • Dress up as a Muslim and try to be involved guarantee an excellent grade.
  • Pick Islamic names and wear them around your neck as ID tags.
  • Read the fatiha, the opening chapter in the Koran and recited by Muslims at every daily prayer.
  • Play a dice game called Jihad by declaring a jihad against another group.
  • Jihad is a struggle by Muslims against oppression.
  • Complete the phrase required for conversion to Islam.
  • Complete the Five Pillars of the Islamic Faith.
  • Analyze certain verses from the Koran.
In an astonishing ruling, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals approved the school’s Islamic indoctrination holding that the Islam program activities were not “overt religious exercises” that raised Establishment Clause concerns. Just to make sure their ruling could not be precedent to establish similar classes for Christians, they made their ruling “Not for Publication.”

Our K-12 textbooks contain sugarcoated versions of Islam promoted by the Council on Islamic Education. Those versions don’t mention its kidnappings, beheadings, slave-trading, savage murder, and persecution of non-Muslims or the repression of women.

The founder of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Omar Ahmad said this to a group of American Muslims in 1998:
“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”
The NY Post reports: In July 2010, Shir Ahmad, an Afghan security guard at a coalition base, started making threatening comments, saying he wanted to kill US troops.
His employer, Afghan-owned Tundra Security, a subsidiary of Canadian military contractor Tundra Group, fired him and recommended he not be rehired. But according to an investigation by Rep. Howard McKeon (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, Tundra officials failed to pass that recommendation up the chain of command; nor was Ahmad added to any military watch list.
Tundra rehired Ahmad on March 9, 2011, without a background check. Ten days later, while working security at Forward Operating Base Frontenac in Southern Afghanistan, Ahmad picked up an AK-47 and fired into a group of soldiers who were cleaning their weapons.
They were only two of the 75 soldiers killed since 2007 by “green on blue” attacks executed by our supposed Afghan allies, aided and abetted by wishful thinking on the part of the Obama administration and lax security measures in Afghanistan. Despite these murders — including six in the last two weeks — officials plan to do nothing to take guns away from Afghans stationed with our troops.
Washington Examiner writes: Koran-Burning Rage follows Pastor Jones Rage, which seized Afghan Muslims after Jones burned a Koran in 201, inspiring rioting in which seven United Nations personnel were murdered.
Pastor Jones Rage followed Fitna Rage, which seized Muslims worldwide over Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders' short 2008 film "Fitna," sparking violence, threats and, as a bonus, charges that led to the Netherlands trial of Wilders for "insulting Muslims." (He was acquitted).
Fitna Rage followed Teddy Bear Rage, which in 2007 seized Muslims in Sudan after a British teacher, whose class named a teddy bear "Mohammed," was sentenced to 15 days for "insulting religion." An estimated 10,000 Sudanese turned out to call for the teacher's head instead.
Teddy Bear Rage followed Pope Rage, which seized Muslims after Pope Benedict in 2006 noted a historic reference to Islam's propensity to spread by violence. Muslim mayhem, including the murder of a 65-year-old nun, ensued.
Then there is the recurring Danish Mohammed Cartoon Rage, which, since the 2005 publication of a dozen Mohammed cartoons in a Danish newspaper, has led to waves of Muslim violence resulting in the deaths of more than 100 people.
I could continue, but I think the pattern is clear. Critical discussion or representation of Islam spurs Muslims to violence. This violence spurs Westerners to apology.
But apology is always an act of dhimmitude: submitting to Islamic definitions of crime or grievance, which only under Islamic law require contrition.
. "After the first step of a profound apology, there must be a second step ... of disciplinary action," Jan Kubis, the U.N. representative in Afghanistan, said this week."Only after this, after such a disciplinary action, can the international forces say 'Yes, we're sincere in our apology,'" Kubis said.
The fact is, this whole affair, like those that precede it, is a power play. Feigned victimhood becomes a trap for the "perpetrator" -- in this case, the U.S. military.

Just as such actions bring a co-dependent family member more closely into the behavioral orbit of the sick family member, they bring the United States more closely into the behavioral orbit regulated by Islamic law.
They force the "perpetrator" into accepting the sacredness of an inanimate object, the Islamic position that a Christian or Jew is unfit (unclean) to dispose of the sacred thing without desecrating it, and the Islamic belief that such "desecration" constitutes a capital crime.
They force the "perpetrator" to act Islamic. This is the pattern of dhimmitude. We must break it.
Conservative Action Alerts writes: Did you pay cash for that latte this morning at the Starbuck’s drive-through? Well, that smiling lady who handed you your frothy espresso and your change may have been taking down your license plate as you drove off —  before jumping on the phone to report your “suspicious activity” to the FBI.
Really? Yes, crazy as it sounds, in our post-9/11 snitch/spy/surveillance society, if you “always pay cash,” you may be marked as a potential terrorist. That’s according to an FBI flyer that appears to be aimed at proprietors and employees of Internet cafés. The single-page flyer (see below), entitled “Communities Against Terrorism: Potential Indicators of Terrorist Activities Related to Internet Café,” asks: “What Should I Consider Suspicious?” The flyer then answers that people should be viewed with suspicion if they:
“Are overly concerned about privacy, attempts [sic] to shield the screen from view of others.”
That’s the first of six bullet points that are considered “indicators of potential terrorist activities.”
The next bullet point indicator targets people who “always pay cash or use credit card(s) in different name(s).”
Red  State writes: Had Michigan not been as close, the Democrats would have waited to spring this on us in the general election. Luckily we have it now and I hope Ohio voters are paying attention.
In July 2009, Mitt Romney wrote an op-ed in USA Today urging Barack Obama to use an individual mandate at the national level to control healthcare costs.
On the campaign trail now, Mitt Romney says the individual mandate is appropriate for Massachusetts, but not the nation. Repeatedly in debates, Romney has said he opposes a national individual mandate.
But back in 2009, as Barack Obama was formulating his healthcare vision for the country, Mitt Romney encouraged him publicly to use an individual mandate. In his op-ed, Governor Romney suggested that the federal government learn from Massachusetts how to make healthcare available for all. One of those things was “Using tax penalties, as we did, or tax credits, as others have proposed, encourages “free riders” to take responsibility for themselves rather than pass their medical costs on to others.”
Friends, if Mitt Romney is the nominee, we will be unable to fight Obama on an issue that 60% of Americans agree with us on.  [So - has he truly seen the light, can this seemingly decent man be trusted - or will he fail to repeal Obamacare?]
American Thinker writes: Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius' recent appearance before a House panel takes on new meaning.   Ms. Sebelius testified that reducing the number of human beings born in the United States will "compensate employers and insurers for the cost of complying with the new HHS mandate that will require all health-care plans to cover sterilizations and all FDA-approved contraceptives, including those that cause abortions."
Speaking before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health on behalf of Barack Obama's 2013 budget proposal, Secretary Sebelius argued that the hope is that in tandem with a predicted drop in American babies being born, the "estimated cost" for insurances payouts will go "down not up."
Therefore, based on Ms. Sebelius's formula for fiscal solvency, it's clear to see what's up ahead on the road to universal/socialized health care.  Fewer human beings keep costs "down not up," which is why the fewer the better -- from deterring live births to the potential for cost saving implementation of early death.
Human Events writes: Hey there, liberal outrage brigadiers!  It sure was fun going after Rush Limbaugh for using the word “slut” in reference to the arguments of a professional leftist agitator, even though he never actually called her one.  Here’s your new boycott target: liberal radio host Mike Malloy.
Courtesy of the SooperMexican blog, here are Malloy’s absolutely disgusting comments about Midwestern tornado victims:
Their God, if this is the way they want to look at it, keeps smashing them into little grease spots on the pavement, in Alabama, in Mississippi, Arkansas, Georgia and Oklahoma, you know the bible belt.. where they ain’t gonna let no g*dd*mn science get in the way, it says in the bible blah blah blah, so according to their way of thinking, y’know, God with his omnipotent thumb, and so far tonight, has smashed so far 20 people on highway 12, or whatever the hell highway they live next to..
I’m sure every liberal reading this is already on the phone to Malloy’s advertisers, howling for a boycott.  Malloy’s past work includes calling for the Navy SEALs to assassinate former president George W. Bush, something that mysteriously failed to trigger the Outrage Brigades currently screaming for Rush Limbaugh’s scalp. [Bill Maher famously called Sara Palin the "C'" word and a little "T" word, but never mind...]
MRC TV reports: Sandra Fluke is being sold by the left as something she's not. Namely a random co-ed from Georgetown law who found herself mixed up in the latest front of the culture war who was simply looking to make sure needy women had access to birth control. That, of course, is not the case.
As many have already uncovered Sandra Fluke she is, in reality, a 30 year old long time liberal activist who enrolled at Georgetown with the express purpose of fighting for the school to pay for students' birth control. She has been pushing for mandated coverage of contraceptives at Georgetown for at least three years according to the Washington Post.
However, as I discovered today, birth control is not all that Ms. Fluke believes private health insurance must cover. She also, apparently, believes that it is discrimination deserving of legal action if "gender reassignment" surgeries are not covered by employer provided health insurance. She makes these views clear in an article she co-edited with Karen Hu in the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law.
National Review reports: Last month, in an appearance at Columbia University, his alma mater, Holder made a jarring statement in support of racial preferences, saying he “can’t actually imagine a time in which the need for more diversity would ever cease.” “Affirmative action has been an issue since segregation practices,” he declared. “The question is not when does it end, but when does it begin. . . . When do people of color truly get the benefits to which they are entitled?”
Reuters reports: Three Occupy Oakland protesters accused of surrounding and taunting a woman before stealing her wallet were charged on Friday with robbery and hate crimes, authorities said.

LA Times reports: Twenty California counties, including Ventura, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego, allow some workers to make more in retirement than they did while working. The coffers are underfunded by millions of dollars.

Robinson, 62, is among a group of public employees who have increased their retirement paychecks by adding such things as vacation time, educational incentives, car allowances and bonuses to their final salaries.

Such "salary spiking" was banned in 1993 by CalPERS, the state's largest public employee retirement system, to help control spiraling costs. But 20 of California's 58 counties — including Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange and San Diego — do not participate in CalPERS and their employees may legally continue to spike their salaries.,0,7934595,full.story
